Midsomer Norton Carnival - (171, 172, 173, 174 & 522) - Monday 10th November

Various roads in Midsomer Norton will be closed to services 171, 172, 173, 174 and 522 between 17:30 and 22:00 on Monday 10th November to facilitate this year’s carnival event.

As a result of these closures and the nature of the diversions that will be in place the following arrangements will apply.

Regretfully no bus stops will be served between Radstock and Midsomer Norton.

We apologies in advance for the inconvenience this will no doubt cause.

An amended timetable is attached below and anything that is in red will not be served

Service 171

Please check amended timetable for details.

Service 172

The 18:35 and 19:05 from Bath will operate as far as Victoria Hall Radstock.

The 19:50, 21:13 and 21:43 departures from Victoria Hall Radstock to Bath will not operate.

Service 173

From Wells will operate normal route as far as Paulton Road then divert to Tesco at Thicket Mead Midsomer Norton and terminate.

Service 174

From Wells will operate normal route as far as the B3355/B3139 Crossroads, and then will turn left into Chilcompton, turning right into Baker’s Lane to join the 173 route and the above diversion.

Service 522

The 18:45 and 19:45 trips from Bath to Midsomer Norton will not run and the 19:19 and 20:18 trips from Midsomer Norton to Bath will not run and buses will not serve the High Street from 17:30. Passengers are to use Somervale School bus stop.

From the above times, services from Bristol will operate as far as Midsomer Norton then divert non stop to Bath.

Service from Bath to Bristol will operate non stop on the diversion route and serve from Somervale School in Midsomer Norton back to Bristol as normal. 

If you need to get to Bath direct from Midsomer Norton and Midsomer Norton to Bath please board at the Somervale Road bus stop. The service will be non-stop to and from Bath.
