We've teamed up with our friends at UEA to offer you completely free travel on our city bus network for the day you come up to visit us in the fine city of Norwich!
You can get between the city and the UEA on our Blue Line 25|26|26A buses
They run regularly throughout the day and link the University and rail station. You can find out more here.
Using the code shown below you can get a free Norwich Zone High5 Group mTicket on our free First Bus App. The ticket is good for unlimited travel anywhere on our Network Norwich services for the day of your visit for up to 5 people, with a maximum of 2 adults aged 20+.
It’s really easy to get your mTicket using our First Bus App. Just follow the simple steps below and you’ll be ready to tap, show & go!
1) Download the First Bus App from your app store
2) Select the mTickets button on the menu bar. Choose the area 'Norfolk & Waveney' and choose the Norwich Zone.
3) Choose a High5 Day Ticket and tap 'Go to checkout'. Then either sign in, or create an account by entering some simple details (name, email address and phone number) as the app prompts you to. Don't worry - you don't have to enter card details or buy anything.
4) Tap 'Add voucher or promo code' and enter the code to get your ticket for free. The code will have been provided to you in an email from the UEA, or please speak to staff at the event before travelling.
PLEASE NOTE: The code will only work on the UEA Open Days, Applicant Days or Clearing Campus Tour days themselves, so unfortunately you won't be able to get your tickets in advance.
5) Your ticket will appear in your ticket wallet. Simply tap to activate it just before you get on the bus.
6) Scan the QR code on the ticket machine as you board. The driver may ask to see your ticket too.

Sunday 25th Oct
Due to a road closure, there will be no service from Easton to Norwich, anyone wishing to travel from Easton will need to go to Hockering and catch the bus from there.
Buses from Norwich towards King's Lynn will not be affected.
West Earlham

Due to predicted heavy parking around West Earlham Junior School the above services will be on diversion during the times below.

From City - Following Bowthorpe Rd, to Earlham Green lane turning left, then right at 5 Ways roundabout, Earlham Rd, right into Wilberforce Rd to resume route at Malbrook Rd.
Into City - Following Wilberforce Rd to end, left onto Earlham Rd, left at 5 Ways roundabout onto Earlham Green lane to end to turning right to resume route to city at Bowthorpe Rd.
We will be unable to serve Hutchenson Rd, West Earlham shops & Rockingham Rd in both directions during these times.
16 Lingwood
Service 16 wont be able to serve Lingwood or Strumpshaw due to road closure.
26th October - 6th November
Our Hire is running a shuttle bus to collect passengers from Lingwood/Strumpshaw to meet service 16 at Station Road, Brundall.
Our Hire shuttle bus will be using the current timetable.

Martlesham
Services 64, 800, 66, 972 School bus
Due to the closure of Main road Martlesham the above services will divert as follows -
Outbound - Normal route.
Inbound - From Martlesham Water Bridge follow Main Road, turning left onto Felixstowe Road, then right onto Anson Road to A12 main roundabout.
Turning right to Martlesham roundabout to resume normal route.
Thorpe St Andrew
Services 15 & 16
Yarmouth Road
Monday 26th October 2026 to Sunday 1st November 2026
Due to road closure on Yarmouth Rd at bridge the above service will be on diversion as follows -
From City - Passed Sainsburys onto Dussingdale Drive to Plumstead Rd taking a right through Thorpe End Green, to Thorpe End Drive onto NDR to resume route just past Police HQ through to Blowfield for 15 and Brundall for 16 to connect with Our HIre Shuttle bus for Lingwood There will be no stopping on this diversion.
To City - Normal route from Blowfield for 15 to Lidl then left around Makro loop then retrace outbound route to city.
For 16 from Lingwood please use Our Hire shuttle bus to connect with 15 or 16 in Brundall, Station Rd.
Service 16 from Brundall normal route to Lidl turning right to retrace outbound route to city.
Bowthorpe Rd
Services 20 & 21
Friday 23/10/26 8.30am to Friday 30/10/26 17.00
Bowthorpe Rd closure between Dereham Rd and Guardian Rd
Above sevices will be on divertion as follows -
From City - Staying on Dereham Rd to Guardien Rd roundabout turning left then right at traffic lights to resume normal route at Bowthope Rd.
To City - Turn left into Guardian Rd then right at roundabout onto Dereham Rd to resume normal route at Bowthorpe Rd.
We will be unable to serve the Norwich Community Hospital during this time.
Charcoal Line Service Improvements from 1 November 2026

From Sunday 1 November 2026, changes will be made to Charcoal Line services, with revised Monday to Friday timetables and additional peak-time journeys helping to improve connections between Halesworth, Bungay, Poringland and Norwich.

Due to the ongoing works at Queensgate buses will be serving Peterborough Bus Station before Rail Station.
Please allow extra time for your journey.
Hethersett Lane
Service 11, 11A
Due to the closure of Hetherset Lane the above services will be on diversion.
From NNUH to Hethersett. We will not be able to use Rosalind Franklin Road & Hethersett Lane
Buses will divert via Little Melton.

FURTHER UPDATED - Excel - Easton A47 closures
UPDATED 22nd July 2026
The second phase of works at the Easton roundabout start from 31st July and will continue until the end of the year.
During this phase, we will continue to operate via the existing diversion route on journeys toward Norwich, and will adopt this diversion route for all journeys toward Dereham, King's Lynn and Peterborough.
The temporary stop located just before the junction with Bluebell Way, will be the only stop Excel serves, in both directions, so please signal clearly to the driver to stop.
We remain committed to providing a service up to every 30 minutes for Easton.

Temporary Changes to Services in Easton
From Wednesday 1st July, Highways England will be partially closing the Easton roundabout. This closure will mean that First Bus Excel services cannot turn right into Easton village.
We are pleased to say that a viable diversion route, using Bluebell Way and Fennel Drive has been assessed, and that Excel journeys toward Norwich will be able to serve the village.
All Norwich bound journeys will exit the A47 at the Longwater junction, then head westbound in to Easton, turning around using the diversion route.
Norfolk County Council are arranging for a temporary stop to be located just before the junction with Bluebell Way. Please note: this will be the only stop that Norwich bound Excel services use. Excel buses heading toward Dereham, King's Lynn and Peterborough will not serve this stop
Journeys from Norwich are unaffected and will continue to serve Easton as normal.
