Get to Carrow Road with First Bus!

Heading to Carrow Road to watch the canaries in action? Get to the game with ease, whether it be a Saturday game, or an evening kick-off under the floodlights midweek, leave the car at home and let us do the driving!

The closest stops to Carrow Road on a matchday are just a 10 minute walk from the stadium and are situated outside Norwich Rail Station. You can use Green Line or Blue Line services which serve Stop DD or DE depending on which direction you're coming from, or if you're heading over from Great Yarmouth you can catch service 7 which also stops at DE.

Red Line services serve Stop DC and DL on Prince of Wales Road (10-15 minute walk away), whilst all other Norwich routes use Stop CP on Upper King Street and Stop CM on Tombland which is a pleasant 20 minute walk from the ground.

If you live a bit further afield and usually drive in to the city, why not try Norwich Park & Ride? Nestled across three spots around the city, our Park & Ride service is your shortcut to effortless, breezy journeys into the heart of Norwich.

Away fans

Visiting Carrow Road from afar? Parking around the ground can be few and far between, not to mention expensive! So if you're travelling by car, your best option is to use Norwich Park & Ride. Day tickets cost just £3 for adults and £2 for under 19s, and the most convenient site for away fans is situated at Thickthorn Interchange at the A11 and A47 junction. The post code for sat-navs is NR9 3AU, and buses operate up to every 14 minutes.

You can alight at Norwich Bus Station or Castle Meadow if you're enjoying some time in the city before the game, but if you just need to get as close as possible to the ground then make sure to stay on-board until Stop CM on Tombland.

Lime Tree Avenue Wymondham

Due to the closure of Lime Tree Avenue, Wymondham.

Services 14,14A and 15A will have to divert.

From city to Wymondham will omit Lime Tree Ave, and stay on Tuttles lane, turning right in Hewitts lane to resume normal route.

From Wymondham to city bus will use Sheffield Road and turn left into Finderne Drive then right onto Tuttles lane to resume normal route into the City

A47 Kings Lynn - Sunday 18th January - Norwich (excel A)

On Sunday 18th January 2025 a 350 tonne transformer required for the Hornsea 3 off-shore wind farm will be transported on the A47 from the port at Kings Lynn to the A140 junction at Norwich and then to Swardeston.

The load will be travelling at a maximum speed of 12mph and will take the entire day to complete the journey. It is anticipated that there may be delays to traffic in general and as a result there is the potential for some disruption to our Excel A service. Customers are advised to allow additional time for their journeys in case of such delays.

We apologise to all excel customers in advance for any inconvenience that may be caused on the day, our team will be working to minimise disruption.

Service 24/24A | Breckland Rd Bus Gate

The section of the bus gate where the stops are has been closed by roadworks.

Currently, 24/24A will continue to roundabout and use the far section of the bus gate as a temporary stop ( same back toward City).

09:30 UPDATE

This has now been confirmed as a full closure, and will be in place until the 20th of January

Yarmouth Road, Thorpe St Andrew

Services 14,15,16 and 17

Due to the closure on Yarmouth Road from 19th January 2026 to 22nd January 2026 services 14,15,16,and 17, will be diverted up Harvery lane to heartsease roundabout turning left ont St Williams way to Pound lane where service 14 will continue into sainsburys and resume normal route to Dussingdale

Sevices 15,16 and 17 will turn right at lights then left at mini roundabout to resume normal route to Blofield, Lingwood and Broadland business Park.

Excel services - Dereham Market Place

From Monday 12th January 2026 until Friday 20th March 2026 all excel services will be unable to serve stops in Market Place, Dereham due to improvement works funded by Norfolk County Council taking place in the area.

Services in both directions will instead operate from a temporary facility in a section of the Cherry Tree Car Park, following minor diversions to serve these temporary stops. (see map)

Timetables for all services will remain unchanged.
