Where to buy
You can buy tickets for travel on all First Eastern Counties buses in a variety of simple, convenient ways.
You'll find prices for all tickets for a day or longer on our Online Fare Finder >>
1) On the FREE First Bus App
Buying an mTicket on the First Bus App is the most convenient way to buy tickets, and can even save you money too. Tickets are available for purchase 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so you can buy before you travel, and just validate the ticket when you board the bus.
The First Bus App also has our widest range of tickets, from days or groups to weekly, monthly and multi-journey tickets, simply scan your mobile ticket when you hop on board, and you’re ready to go.
A number of our Young Person tickets can also be 'gifted' on the First Bus App, meaning that a parent or carer can buy a ticket on their smartphone and transfer it to their young-person's device quickly and simply.
2) With contactless on board the bus
All of our buses accept contactless payments using your card or contactless-enabled device for the full range of tickets that you can buy on board, up to a maximum of £45 per purchase.
You can buy all of the following tickets (for both Adults Young People aged 5-19) on-board the bus: Single Journey Tickets, Day Tickets, High5 Group Day Tickets, Weekly Tickets, Monthly Tickets
3) With cash on board the bus
Our drivers carry change, but having the exact fare ready when boarding is best and helps to keep your bus on time.
Some of our longer term tickets (including our Student Saver range) can be bought on our website and sent either to your smartphone (on the First Bus App) or to your home address by post.
We also offer our First Unlimited monthly subscription ticket online which can be purchased by direct debit and sent straight to your smartphone.
