Oxford Street in Weston-super-Mare will be closed to services 1, 7, 126, X5 and X7 from 07:00 on Monday 11th and will remain fully closed until 17:00 (estimated) Friday 15th March to facilitate carriageway works.
Whilst this closure is in place, the following will apply.
Services 1 and X5 heading towards the Train Station and Portishead will operate normal routes as far as the junction of Royal Road and Knightstone Road but instead of continuing along Royal Road will turn left into Knightstone Road onto South Parade, Waterloo Street and the Boulevard and at the second set of traffic lights turn right into Alfred Street onto Locking Road and right at the roundabout into Francis Fox Road, right at the next roundabout into Station Road, right into Walliscote Road to The Hub to resume normal routes.
Services 1 and X5 heading towards Sand Bay and The Hub can operate normal routes.
Regretfully the Winter Gardens and Oxford Street bus stops will not be served and passengers are advised to board or alight at either the Victoria Place bus stop on Knightstone road or The Hub. The bus stops on Alfred Street will also be observed.

Service 7 heading towards Worle can operate normal route as far as The Hub, then from Walliscote Road instead of turning right into Oxford Street are to continue along Walliscote Road, left into Station Road, left at the roundabout into Francis Fox Road, left into Locking Road bear right into Alfred Street and at the traffic lights turn right into the Boulevard to resume normal route at its end.
Service 7 heading towards Locking are to operate normal route as far as the junction of The Boulevard and Alfred Street but instead of going straight across the traffic lights are to turn left into Alfred Street onto Locking Road and right at the roundabout into Francis Fox Road, right at the next roundabout into Station Road, right into Walliscote Road to The Hub to resume normal routes.
Regretfully al bus stops between and including the Boulevard and Oxford Street will not be served and passengers are advised to board or alight at either The Hub or Gerrard Road bus stops. The bus stops on Alfred Street will also be observed.
Services X1 and 126 heading towards Bristol and Weston are to operate normal routes as far as Marine Parade but instead of continuing along to enter Oxford Street are to take the exit before in Carlton Street then left into Walliscote Road to resume normal routes at the junction of Oxford Street.
Service X1 and 126 heading towards Weston (Asda) and Wells can operate normal route as far as the junction of Walliscote Road and Oxford Street but instead of turning right into Oxford Street are to continue along Walliscote Road then turn right into Carlton Street to resume normal routes at its end.
Regretfully Marine Parade and Oxford Street bus stops will not be served in either direction and passengers are advised to board or alight at either The Hub or Beach Road bus stops.

The Great Bristol Run will be taking place on Sunday 11th May 2025
Various roads around Central Bristol will be closed between 04:00 and 17:00 unless stated on service numbers below.
If your service is not listed it will operate normal route.
All services that are diverted along Upper Maudlin Street (past the BRI) will observe the bus stops on both sides of the road at that location alongside Park Row stops U4/U5.
Bus stop S1 (opposite McDonalds on Bond Street) and S8 (outside of Old Debenhams building on Bond Street) and on the slip roads at Old Market (Bond Street/Temple Way) will also be observed. There is a map on the attachments at the bottom of the page to assist you on what additional bus stops will be available.
The Ship Lane bus stop on Clarence Road (just after Bedminster Bridge roundabout) will be observed by all services from Bedminster towards the city centre.
There is an attachment at the bottom of the web page with a listing of alternative bus stops when services are on diversion.
There will be Supervisors at various locations to assist with any enquiries.

Services 1 & 2 heading towards Broomhill/Stockwood will operate normal route as far as the top of Park Street then divert via Park Row, Marlborough Street onto St James Barton roundabout, down the Haymarket into Bridewell Street onto Nelson St to access the Horsefair for normal route

Service 41 heading towards Avonmouth will operate normal route as far as St James Barton roundabout then divert via Marlborough Street then Park Row to follow the service 4 route to sea mills Crossroads for normal route to Shirehampton.
From 15:00 to 17:00, services heading towards Kingswood will operate normal route as far as the Jacobs Wells roundabout then diver via Jacob Wells Road, Clifton Triangle then as above to Old Market.

Service U2 heading Langford will divert from Rupert Street via St Johns Bridge Lewins Mead, The Haymarket, St James Barton roundabout, Bond Street, around Newfoundland Road gyratory, Bond Street South, Temple Way, past Temple Meads Station to Bath Bridges roundabout, York Road, Bedminster Bridge roundabout into Coronation Road resuming normal route on Brunel Way and Winterstoke Road bus stop.
From 13:30 services will divert from Bus Station via Haymarket, Marlborough Street, Park Row and Jacob Wells road to resume normal route on Hotwell Road.

This service will not be able to serve the guideway until 14:45 but will stay on Clarence Road/Temple Way diversion until 16:00. All bus stops on Coronation Road will be observed in both directions whilst the service is on diversion.
Services m3 & m4 will terminate and commence your journeys from Lewins Mead.

Please expect some delays.

Service 45 will continue to divert from Woodward Drive onto Shellards Road (part) into California Road and the service 17 will stay on Bath Road to use Marsham Way in Both Directions.

Due to ongoing travel improvement along the Victoria Street corridor, Victoria Street will be closed in the northbound direction (towards the city centre) from 31st March 2025. Temple Meads Station stop T7 at the end of Victoria Street will be closed.
Routes 1 and 2 towards Cribbs Causeway, 2a towards Brentry and 72 towards UWE Frenchay will instead stop at Temple Meads Station stop T2 on the main road (Temple Gate), and then divert via Temple Way and Counterslip to resume their normal route at Bristol Bridge. Buses will additionally serve stop T8 on Temple Way.
Routes 39/X39, 172, 349, 374, 375, 376, 376a and 522 will stop at Temple Meads Station stop T2 as normal, and then divert via Temple Way and Counterslip to resume their normal route at Bristol Bridge. These routes will also additionally stop at Temple Way stop T8 on the diversion.

Southbound buses, travelling from the city centre towards Temple Meads Station, will not be affected and will operate their normal route.
