Works wIll be taking place on Yarmouth Road, Norwich in the area close to Pound Lane, starting on Monday 2nd June 2025 and continuing for approximately 9 weeks. This project will be in several phases and will require some of our services to operate via diversion routes, depending on the level of closure on specific dates.

Details of diversions from 2nd June - 21st July are detailed below, diversions after that date will be posted closer to the time.

Monday 2nd June & Tuesday 3rd June 2025 On these dates Yarmouth Road will be completely closed between Pound Lane and Bungalow Lane.

Service 14/14A

From the city centre will operate via Yarmouth Road, then Thunder Lane and Ring Road to Sainsburys where the usual route will be resumed. Same route towards the city centre

Services 15/15A/16/16A/17/33A (also service 7 from Great Yarmouth)

These services will operate via Thunder Lane and Ring Road, then via Pound Lane to the mini roundabout where the usual route will be resumed.

Service 31

This service will operate via Yarmouth Road then Thunder Lane turning left on to the Ring Road to resume usual route.

On these dates we will be unable to serve stops in either direction at Primrose Cresent, St. Andrews Avenue and School Avenue.

Wednesday 4th June 2025 for six weeks (until approx 21st July) During this phase the road will be closed to outbound traffic only.

All services listed above

During this phase all services operating from Norwich City centre will follow the diversions detailed above for 2nd/3rd June.

However, services operating towards Norwich City Centre will follow their usual route along Yarmouth Road.

On these dates we will be unable to serve stops heading out of Norwich at Primrose Cresent, St Andrews Avenue and School Avenue.

A further phase of works taking place from approximately 21st July 2025 for three weeks which will involve revised diversion which will be posted closer to the time.

As this is a key route for all traffic, we anticipate some delays to services. Passengers are advised to allow extra time to make their journey.

We apologise to any passengers affected by these diversions.

Service Disruptions 11/06

The following services have been impacted by operational issues:

16:30 from the Rail Station is operating with delays of 30 minutes.

Anglia Square [UPDATE 09/06]

Due to a continued closure of Magdalen Street, Anglia Square following an emergency incident - services will be diverting as below:

All affected services out of the city are diverting via Palace St and stopping both sides at the layby bus stop by The Wig and Pen PH, then again at the stop cityside of the zebra crossing on Whitefriars (St James Palace).

At the roundabout, services 10/A, 11/A, 12, 13 will continue ahead and serve all stops on Charlton Rd to resume route at The Artichoke PH (10/A will resume route at Bull Close Rd).

All other services (28/29/X29/36/A/37/38/39/21/A) will turn left at the roundabout, cross the flyover, turn right at the next roundabout and resume route at the end of Aylsham Rd (21/A on Waterloo Rd).

Park and Ride PR1 will serve The Wig and Pen and Whitefriars and then operate non-stop by either of the above routes depending on traffic.

Return towards the city is the reverse of the above.

We will not be able to serve Anglia Square or Edward Street stops until the road has been reopened.

Services 10/A are now reinstated heading towards Mousehold only.

Customers are advised to walk to The Artichoke (for 11/A, 12 or 13 services) or along Cowgate to Charlton Rd/Bull Close Rd for 10/A.

Acle Straight Evening closure - Service X1

A47 Acle Straight closure

Tuesday 27th May End Date Friday 18th July Duration 20:00-06:00, weeknights for resurfacing works.

Affected services will need to operate via Filby in both directions.

A47 closure - Excel A/B/C

The A47 will be closed overnight for the next 22 nights.

The Excel service will be unable to serve Necton, Little Fransham, Wendling, Scarning and New Scarning during this closure as we will be diverting the service. We will still be able to serve Dereham and the rest on the route.

This closure has finished early, and services are now resuming normal route.

From Monday 21st April to Friday 25th July, Bernham Road in Hellesdon will be closed to enable Norfolk County Council to carry out footway reconstruction works, which will have a severe impact on our Purple Line 37/37B services.

In the Hellesdon area, these services will be split in half on Monday to Saturdays daytimes - with one bus an hour operating a loop of Bush Road, Raymond Road & Reepham Road, and one bus an hour operating a loop of Coppice Avenue & Woodland Road. Please see the timetable below (or attachment) for details on bus times on either side of the loop during this closure.

~~Evening services (shown below as serving both Bush Road & Woodland Road Stores) will operate both loops to serve as many stops as possible during these times where services operate less frequently.~~

~~Services south of The Bull roundabout, and all other Purple Line services are not affected by this, and will continue to operate at the same times as now.~~
