Service Disruptions - 23/01/2026

The following services are unable to run, due to operational issues:

Service 8

13:55- From Caister to JPH

14:55- From Caister to JPH

15:04- JPH to Caister

16:03- JPH to Caister

Service 41

Due to a road closure on Entrance lane between churchill Pl and St Peters Road from 26th January 2026 to 30th January 2026 service 41 will not be able to serve Brooke

Out of City staying on Norwich Rd dropping off at Kings Head for Brooke.

Into City  Staying on Norwich Rd and dropping off opposite Kings Head for Brooke

Due to road closure/demolition works on Edward St/Magdalen St from 1st February 2026 we will not be able to serve Anglia Sq.

Services 11,11A,12 and 13

Out of City will divert from Tombland turning right at The Maids Head Hotel to roundabout taking 2nd exit onto Charlton Rd/ Bull Close Rd to Artichoke traffic lights then turning right and picking up normal routes.

There is a stop at Cowgate, Charlton Rd as an alternative for Anglia Sq.

Into City the above service will turn right into Bull Close Rd onto Charlton Rd, 2nd exit at roundabout following onto Palace St then picking up normal route into City

There is a stop on Bull close Rd as an alternative for Anglia Sq.

Services 21,21A,28,29,X29,36,37,38,39,&PR1 

Out of City will divert from Tombland turning right at The Maids Head Hotel (There will be a temporary stop at Fishergate on Whitefriars for an alternative to Anglia Sq) follow to roundabout taking 1st exit onto flyover then 3rd exit onto Pitt St to St Augustines then picking up  normal routes 

Into City the above service will omit the Edward St stop, follow road to St Crispins roundabout taking 1st exit onto flyover then 3rd exit onto Whitefriars

There will be a temporary stop just opposite Fishergate on Whitefriars for an alternative to Anglia Sq

On Sunday 25th January 2025 a second 350 tonne transformer required for the Hornsea 3 off-shore wind farm will be transported on the A47 from the port at Kings Lynn to the A140 junction at Norwich and then to Swardeston.

The load will be travelling at a maximum speed of 12mph and will take the entire day to complete the journey. It is anticipated that there may be delays to traffic in general and as a result there is the potential for some disruption to our Excel A service. Customers are advised to allow additional time for their journeys in case of such delays.

We apologise to all excel customers in advance for any inconvenience that may be caused on the day, our team will be working to minimise disruption.

Services 14,15,16 and 17

Due to the closure on Yarmouth Road from 19th January 2026 to 30th January 2026 services 14,15,16,and 17, will be diverted up Harvery lane to heartsease roundabout turning left ont St Williams way to Pound lane where service 14 will continue into sainsburys and resume normal route to Dussingdale

Sevices 15,16 and 17 will turn right at Pound lane Traffic lights then left at mini roundabout to resume normal route to Blofield, Lingwood and Broadland business Park.

From Monday 12th January 2026 until Friday 20th March 2026 all excel services will be unable to serve stops in Market Place, Dereham due to improvement works funded by Norfolk County Council taking place in the area.

Services in both directions will instead operate from a temporary facility in a section of the Cherry Tree Car Park, following minor diversions to serve these temporary stops. (see map)

Timetables for all services will remain unchanged.
