The bridge on Railway Hill between Pulham St Mary and Starston will be closed again from Monday 12th September until Friday 7th October 2022. During this time our Purple Line service 36A will be unable to serve Pulham St Mary apart from one journey each in the morning and afternoon to ensure that students can get to and from their places of study.

Service 36A will omit the Pulhams and continue to A143 roundabout and take first exit towards Great Yarmouth, then into Harleston via Redenhall Road.terminating at Broad Street.

On leaving Broad Street services will operate via Old Market Place, Mendham Lane, Spirketts Lane, Shotford Road, Needham Road and then via   the A143 and resume the diversion route back towards Norwich.

Student / Commuter journeys- To accomodate the expected numbers of passengers we will again be operating two buses on certain journeys. During the diversion these will operate as follows - 

Morning journeys towards Norwich 

One bus will operate via the diversion route from Broad Street as usual at 07:15. (This will not serve Wilderness Lane/Starston/The Pulhams)

A second bus will operate from Pulham Market, Falcon at 07:28 and operate from there to Newton Flotman and the City

Afternoon journeys from Norwich

One bus will operate from the City Centre at 16:20 via the diversion route as detailed above to terminate at Broad Street, Harleston. (This will not serve The Pulhams/Starston/Wilderness Lane)

A second bus will operate from the City Centre also at 16:20 to Pulham Market, Falcon only via the usual route and will terminate there.

Passengers on afternoon journeys are advised to check with the driver to ensure that the bus serves their destination
