Northgate, Beccles (Coastlink X2/X21/X22)

These roads are currently closed due to an incident at the Jet garage and cannot be served.

Diversion is as follows: At the Bull roundabout to follow straight over and turn right into first junction (Gowing Rd), at crossroads right again (Gowing Rd again) and then third left back on route at Raymond Rd.

Drivers will be stopping at a safe location near the Raymond Rd junction for any intending passengers to board or alight.

Due to urgent replacement required of a BT chamber on Castle Meadow, the road will be closed from 19:00 on Friday 25th October until the end of service on Friday 1st November. 

During this time, all services will be unable to call at Castle Meadow - and will instead use their normal stands at alternative city centre stops.

For Pink, Turquoise, Green, Yellow, Purple & Charcoal Line services, plus services 31 & 33 - please use stops on St Stephens Street.
For Orange & Red Line services, plus service 30 - please use stops on Theatre Street/Rampant Horse Street.
For Blue Line services - please use the stops at Red Lion Street as normal, these will still be served.

Please expect delays on all services across the city during the closure, due to the diversion routes involved in avoiding this closure.

Due to Cadent gas works taking place on Laundry Lane in Thorpe St Andrew from Friday 25th October to Friday 1st November, our service 24/24B will need to operate via the 24A route - on South Hill Road, Booty Road & Pound Lane.

Due to resurfacing works associated with the Transforming Cities scheme, Breckland Road will be closed between Monday 28th & Friday 1st November.

During this closure, services will instead be operating via Three Mile Lane with temporary stops provided for passengers to complete their journeys.

Due to Cadent gas works taking place at the junction of Norwich Road & Dereham Road - a one-way road closure will be in place, affecting services away from the city only from Monday 14th to Monday 21st October.

During this time, services 23A & 24B will need to operate via the 23 route in New Costessey, providing some links across to Norwich Road as a result.

Services towards the City will be able to operate normal routes - as a result any passengers for Old Costessey are advised to remain on the bus out to Longwater, then alight as it returns into the city.

Due to BT cabling works taking place on Ormesby Road, between Ormesby & Hemsby - the road will be closed from Monday 7th to Friday 11th October.

During this time, services from Yarmouth will operate up to the Esso petrol station in Ormesby, then operate back to the First & Last roundabout and then trace the 1A route to resume normal route in Hemsby.

Due to National Highways project work taking place along the A47 between Hopton & Lowestoft on weekday nights only (20:00-06:00), our services will be on diversion between Monday 7th October & Friday 6th December. Please see the table below, which explains the different closures that will be in place as the project progresses. On top of the below diversions, please expect some delays due to these diversion routes and increased traffic levels on them.

Additionally, on the following dates - service X21 will be on diversion within Lowestoft.
Monday 14th October to Thursday 17th October - services will leave the town via Katwijk Way & Station Square.
Friday 18th October to Friday 25th October - services will enter the town via A47 & Gordon Road.
Friday 22nd November to Wednesday 27th November - services will enter & leave the town via the Gull Wing Bridge & Denmark Road.

Due to the roundabout construction works taking place on the A154, our Felixstowe Flyers X7 service will need to take a diversion route from Monday 9th September to Sunday 10th November.

This service will need to follow the route of our 75/77s through Walton and into Trimley, before joining the A14 here.

This service will continue to operate non-stop between Felixstowe & Ipswich during these works.

The Street, North Cove will be closed to traffic  from Monday 9th September 2024 to Friday 18th October 2024. 

As a result, services X21 and  X22 in each direction will be unable to serve North Cove. Affected passengers are asked to board and alight at the stop on the main A146 at Barnby Nursery.

The Street, Little Bealings has been closed for Anglian Water Works until Tuesday 15th October .

Service 59 and 972 School service will therefore be unable to use The Street and will have to divert through Playford Village and then back along Bealings Road and into Holly Road to pick up their line of route by the Village Hall
