A47 Acle Straight overnight closures (services X1 / 7)
Due to overnight closures on the A47 Acle Straight from 20:00 to 06:00 each evening on Wednesday 14th January and Thursday 15th January our services that use this road will be severely disrupted.
Our usual diversion route is unfortunately also unavailable to our services due to an emergency closure caused by a burst water main being dealt with by Anglian Water.
After 20:00 each evening -
From Norwich - services will be unable to serve Acle and will instead operate via A146 and A143 to Great Yarmouth. Passengers for Acle will be able to complete their journeys on a shuttle bus which will operate at 20:35, 21:35, 22:35 and a final journey at approximately 00:15 (to connect with the 23:20 service 7)
From Acle - Passengers for Great Yarmouth and Norwich can make their journeys on the shuttle provided at approximately 20:50 and 21:50. A further shuttle will operate at 22:50 but this will not provide a connection to Norwich
Due to the extent of the diversion and other road closures within Great Yarmouth we anticipate delays to all journeys and passengers are advised to take this into account when planning their journeys.
We apologise to any customers affected by these works which are outside our control.
Ipswich Service Impact [14/01/26]
Ipswich services are experiencing severe service delays as a result of a lorry which overturned on the A14 last night. The road is still closed this morning in both directions.
Staff have been struggling to reach work as a result. We are prioritising schools and special services, making sure these run as smoothly as possible, however this may have a knock on affect to standard services.
We apologise for any impact to our Customer's travel.
