How Can We Help?
We'll aim to get in touch with you as soon as possible, which will usually be within 7 days. If you don't hear from us after 7 days, your item may not have been handed in.
We may charge a small fee when you collect your item (up to £2 plus VAT) to help towards the cost of handling and storing lost property items from our buses.
You can report an item of lost property using the form below. Please include as many details as possible as this will help our team find your item as quickly as possible.
We aim to log lost items as soon as possible, but this can take up to 2 working days. If after 7 working days you have not received any contact from us, your item may not have been handed in. In most cases, we will keep any lost property for a month to give you time to claim it. We can't do this though if the item is perishable or if it's a debit or credit card.
Items are not logged immediately. They are only returned to the depot once the bus completes its daily service. As our buses operate multiple journeys throughout the day, this is usually at the end of the day.
Once returned to the depot:
- Items are logged by our admin team.
- They typically appear on our system the following day.
- This may take longer during weekends or bank holidays.
Your enquiry will be matched against our records using a scoring system. This is why it's important to provide as much detail as possible, it helps us identify potential matches accurately.
Please bring some photo ID and your caser reference number with you when collecting your item.
If you have left any medical items on the bus, please contact us as soon as possible and advise of the bus route number and direction of travel so we can contact the driver. For bank cards, in-line with guidance from the banks, to protect the owner from risk of fraud, we destroy cards securely when found. We would also advise to contact your bank as soon as possible.
Please hand anything accidentally left on a bus to your driver.
If we have an item matching the description, we will contact you to provide you with a lost property reference and a time and place of where you can collect the item from.
