Hello, we’re First Bus.

You might be new here, or you might already know us. We thought we’d take a moment to reintroduce ourselves.

We run your local bus service, but we’re not just a way to travel from A to B.

Getting around is about so much more than just convenience. The bus opens up communities and brings together people from all walks of life. It’s the affordable choice, the choice that’s kinder to the planet, and the choice for all.

We know we can sometimes get it wrong, and we can't take you door-to-door. But bus is always there, and it doesn't judge who you are, or where you've come from. It's for everyone, every day. Thanks for being part of our journey.

You'll notice we’re looking and sounding a little different - that’s a reflection of how we’re growing and evolving. We’ve been listening to our customers, our teams, and our communities, and you’ve all helped shape where we’re headed.

So what does that mean for you? Good question.

We know that there’s more to transformation than a lick of paint, or a new logo. That’s why this change is just one part of our transformation journey, as we strive to do the best for our communities, our people and our customers (that’s you!).

  • We're moving local communities with over 1.4 million journeys every day, and keeping society moving with over 4,930 buses.
  • We're investing in the future of our communities with 666 zero-emission buses in our fleet and more in the pipeline.
  • Nearly 700,000 people try our buses for the first time, every year, and we’re grateful for the chance to keep learning from customers old and new.

“My Bus”

It’s funny how we all have a story with those words in it.

There isn’t much in life we can call “perfect”, but that’s what makes it real, right? It’s the everyday moments, the funny ones, the heart-warming ones, and sometimes even the frustrating ones, that make a journey worthwhile.

We all have bus in common, no matter who we are or where we’re going. That’s why we’ve created “My Bus”, our very own manifesto and an ode to the communities we carry, and their stories.

Do you ever wonder about the person in the seat next to you?

We all have a story, and for some of us, the bus has played a leading role.

Join us, and This Morning presenter Josie Gibson, as we discover the stories from your local community.
