How Can We Help?
Cancellations are displayed in the First Bus app on the bus stop departure board. Use the Plan section to choose your bus stop, or search via the bus stop search, then select 'view departure board'.
Wider planned network changes and diversions will be shown in the Travel alerts banner at the top of the First Bus website regional homepages.
Up to two children under five years of age may travel free-of-charge provided that they do not occupy a seat required by an adult passenger and are accompanied by a responsible fare-paying customer. Additional children, or children under five occupying a seat required by an adult, may be charged for a Child fare.
Children 16 and above will need to pay a fare; in some cases this will be the adult fare, but in some areas we are able to offer reduced fares for young people.
Where a child may appear older than 15 (the maximum age for a child fare), the driver may ask them to verify their age. We would always seek to avoid any embarrassment, so in such cases it may be helpful for the young person to carry additional photo identification.
Folding bicycles (including folding electric bicycles) and non-motorised folding scooters are permitted on board our buses, provided that they are stowed safely and that they are not ridden on board and do not block the aisles or access to seats. If your folding bicycle is likely to make the inside of the bus or its seats dirty, and/or could cause discomfort to other Customers the driver may refuse travel. Due to space and safety considerations, non-folding bicycles cannot be carried inside our buses.
Bringing food and drink onboard is at the drivers discretion if not open or fully sealed. However, in the interests of your fellow passengers, please do not consume food or drink on our services.
