City Road (Above A500) closure 17/03/2025 until 27/03/2025
City Road, Stoke over the A500 will be closed in both directions from Monday 17th March until approx. 25th March. This will be a nighttime closure from 20:00. Below are the services that are impacted and the diversion routes.
Crown Street in Stone will be closed on Tuesday 18th March 09:30 till 15:00 just for 1 day
Buses inbound to Hanley will be diverting via the A34 and missing out Stone. Outbound buses will not be affected.
Park Lane will be closed one day between Monday 17th March and Friday 27th March
The contractors are working on a number of roads in that area so they can’t give an exact date as to when this road will be closed. This is also dependant on the weather. The buses will only divert when the road closes.
St Saviours Road junction with Gedding Road has been closed for roadworks, inbound only.
Services will divert via Gwendolen Road, Broad Avenue, Gwendolen Road, Evington Valley Road back to normal route.
Road is expected to remain closed for 4 days.

Station Road bus turning circle will be closed for road works.
Services terminating at Woodhouse will end at the last stop on Badger Road.
Due to temporary traffic lights on Leeds Old Road, Service X11 will divert in both directions due to these causing delays of up to 1 hour.
Services diverting via Leeds Road and Killinghall Road in both directions.
