First Bus confirms plans to withdraw from Cornwall operations

Simon Goff, Managing Director for First Bus South (which operates First Bus in Cornwall), said: 

“After a full consultation process, unfortunately, we have been unable to identify any alternative solutions to our proposal, and as such, all First Bus services in Cornwall will cease on 14 February 2026.

“This has not been an easy decision, and we want to thank our colleagues who have worked hard to provide an excellent service to the local communities across the county. We would like to acknowledge their hard work and loyalty.

“As we leave Cornwall, we’d like to pass on our gratitude to our customers who have travelled with us over the years.”
