First Bus is introducing a new cross-city service in Worcester, improving weekend frequency across the city network and adding trips to support shift workers. 

The changes begin on Sunday 30 August and will see a revised 35 service connecting Dines Green to Blackpole via the city centre. This new service includes the merger of the 30 service, meaning customers will no longer need to change services or buy separate tickets.

The following journeys will not run due to operational issues:

Peldon Road, Abberton is closed for roadworks from 03/08/2026 to 11/08/2026.

Due to the location of the road closure - the 68 / 68A will divert in both directions via Mersea Road and Colchester Road.

The following bus stops will not be served in both directions:

• St Ives Road
• Lower Road
• Kemps Farm

Due to placement of utility repair and maintenance works on Whitmore Way, Basildon - the bus stop The Jolly Friar (towards Pitsea / Southend) is inaccessible. 

Services 6, 18, 18A, 21, 41, 240, 255, 263 & 267 - Road works

To allow for Glasgow City Council Avenues works on Tuesday 4th August until Sunday 11th October Queen Street at St Vincent Place will be closed until works are completed.

During the closure the following diversions will be in operation:

Lanarkshire services towards Buchanan Bus Station; 

Services 240, 255, 263 & 267;

From Sunday 30th August 2026, we are updating services across the West of England. These changes are designed to improve punctuality and create a more reliable network for our customers.

In Bristol, there will be changes to many routes within the City Centre due to development works in Broadmead closing some roads. Please check details of the new bus stops for your service below. There will also be a change to route 8 at Temple Meads Station.

Families and young people will be able to make their summer plans go the extra mile this August, as children aged 5 to 15 will travel free on First Bus services across England.

Running from Saturday 1 August until Monday 31 August 2026, as part of the Government's Great British Summer Savings scheme, the initiative will help families save money on getting around during the summer holidays and support young people in exploring attractions and activities across their region.

Services N2, N18, N240 & N267 | Sauchiehall Street

Due to emergency works at Sauchiehall Street at Holland Street, the road is closed until works are completed.

Essex Yeomanry Way (A1114), Chelmsford is closed for roadworks from 03/08/2026 to 08/08/2026.

Due to the location of the roadworks - the 375 will divert in both directions via the B1009. *All bus stops served*. However, there will likely be delays to service due to length of diversion route.

Service X11 | Stanningley Bypass improvement works

Monday 27th July until Monday 10th August (eastbound closure) - Monday 10th August until Friday 21st August (westbound closure). Service X11 will divert both ways for the whole duration of these works. The diversion below will operate.
