First Bus has teamed up with Huddersfield Town and Soothill Community Association to give families from Batley the chance to experience a live football match for the very first time.
On Saturday 13 December, 50 adults and children from 17 families travelled together by bus from Soothill Community Centre in Batley to Huddersfield’s Accu Stadium for Town’s fixture against Wigan Athletic. For many, it was their first ever matchday experience.
Service 144 | Wychbold | Disruption
Due to an road traffic collision on the A38 in Wychbold, services that use a single deck vehicle will be diverted via Stoke Prior in both directions.
All double decker services will be held at J5 M5 A38 roundabout, not all services to Bromsgrove and Catshill will be running until it's open.

Children spending Christmas in hospital in Leeds will receive a surprise gift this year, thanks to a donation and support from First Bus.
The bus operator teamed up with Leeds Hospitals Charity, which raises funds to support patients at all sites across the city, to donate £5,000 of presents which will be given out on wards caring for children over the festive period.
Santa sacks will be bulging with some 750 gifts, ranging from arts and crafts, fun play, science learning, painting, health and beauty sets, digital tech and toy vehicles.
A group of 50 adults and children from Batley enjoyed a special bus ride last weekend (Saturday 13 December), with many experiencing their first ever match day at Huddersfield Town!
Families from Soothill Community Association joined the trip, arranged by First Bus and the team at Huddersfield Town, to support access to sports and culture in disadvantaged surrounding areas.
In all, 17 families boarded the bus from the community centre to make the journey to Huddersfield’s Accu Stadium for the game against Wigan Athletic.

Due to the A34 being closed from Milehouse roundabout, the abover services are diverting as follows. Outbound only.
Via Milehouse Lane, Hassam Parade, then 38 will go over the roundabout on to normal route. 38A will go left and into Lymedale Industrial Estate.

Service 41, 41A
The above services will be terminating in Ditchingham.
X41 diverted via Beccles but there will be no service to Bungay in either direction.
Service X41 are diverting via Beccles to/from Halesworth.
This is due to the A143 closing for approximately 2 hours.
Unfortunately the 18.25 X41 will not run to Halesworth as it had to divert via Diss to get back to the City.
