The investment includes nearly £6m Transport Scotland Scottish Zero Emission Bus (ScotZEB) funding and will bring 37 more electric buses to Glasgow and a further 40 chargers to its Scotstoun depot.
When completed, 67% of the Scotstoun fleet will be electric, with these latest vehicles adding to the existing 72 electric buses introduced since 2022.
The new buses will be introduced to local networks from next year, and will include 15 repower vehicles - former diesel buses converted to electric. Currently, 52% of the total First Bus Scotland fleet is zero emission.

The A12 is closed (London Bound) between Howe Green Interchange and Galleywood. There is substantial traffic congestion in and around the area.
To retain route punctuality - the 300 will terminate / recommence journeys at Retail Market, Chelmsford until further notice.
Due to an incident outside the Rail Station the road has been closed.
The road has now reopened.

Services 72 & X6 A58(M) Leeds Inner Ring Road - Road closure
Closure due to cleaning works of the tunnel walls. The works are to take place from Monday 23rd March 2026 to Wednesday 25th March 2026 and Thursday 26th March 2026 to Friday 27th March 2026. The closure will be in place between 19:00 and 05:00 hrs on each day. The closure will be in place between 23:00 and 05:00 on Tuesday 24th March.
