Background:

Our Hounslow Heath base is located just two miles from London Heathrow so you would be correct in guessing that we know the airport rather well. For example, we run a 24-hour service between Greenford and Heathrow Central so if you’re booked on the red-eye for an early meeting, you can count on getting to the airport at any time of the day or night. We also run some urban services in Surrey.

Background:

Our Fulwell base opened in 1902 as a tram shed, and with 18 tracks, it was one of the largest in Greater London. Trams ran from the Fulwell site for more than 30 years, when they were replaced by trolley buses. In fact, our Fulwell location was the first in the London area to run trolleybuses. In 2021, electric buses were introduced for the first time at this garage.

A children’s book to help young minds begin to understand about reducing carbon and environmental choices has been published by First Bus in North and West Yorkshire.

Tinyfoot and Evie’s Adventure to Tiny Street features Evie the electric bus and her friend Tinyfoot. And a life-size Evie character visited Beeston Primary School in Leeds to the surprise of youngsters in its Year 1 class, who enjoyed a first reading of the book by local councillor Annie Maloney.
