Brightlingsea Christmas Market returns on Friday 6th December 2024.
Brightlingsea High Street will be closed to traffic from 12:00hrs to 20:30hrs.
Due to the location of the road closure, the 87 service will divert via Bateman Road, Seaview Road and Ladysmith Avenue. Service 87 will terminate/recommence journeys at Victoria Place (Tesco).
The following bus stops will not be served:
Incident on York Road outbound
Services to divert via Burmantofts Street, Nippet Lane, Torre Road.
Road is now open, services operating as normal.
Due to a fallen tree on The Avenue, buses are diverting through Kidsgrove to Red Bull Lights then Butt Lane back to the normal route.
Unfortunately, the following stops cannot be served:
St Johns, St Thomas's, Fourth Avenue, Fifth Avenue & Second Avenue
Until further notice
Road works prior to the right turn onto Union Road are making it unsafe to turn.
Service is to terminate on Montgomery Road and resume route on Moncriefe Road.
Tree down on Ipswich Road near College.
Services diverting via Newmarket Road & Daniels Road in both directions.

Topside of Blackstock Road has been closed.
Services to use Leighton Road in both directions until further notice.

A section of the Colchester Road (B1026), near Tolleshunt D'Arcy will be closed for roadworks from Friday 6th December to Wednesday 11th December 2024.
Due to the location of the road closure - the 50/50A services will be placed on diversion:

Service 50 will divert in both directions via Birch Road, Garlands Road, Birch Street, Lower Road, B1022 and B1023.
The following bus stops will not be served in both directions:
Low Lane is closed due to flooding - Service 50A to divert:
Diverting via Broadgate Lane in both directions.
Due to flooding under bridge on Osmodthorpe Lane - Service 91 to divert:
Service towards Pudsey Bus Station: To divert via A64, Selby Road, Halton Moor Avenue, Neville Road
Service towards Halton Moor: To divert via Halton Moor Ave, Selby Road, York Road A64
On Sunday 8th December, Service 10 will be diverting between Broadwey Church and Dorchester via Broadmayne. As a result, stops between Broadwey Church and Upwey Elwell Street will be unavailable, leaving a significant distance to the nearest alternative stops.
