Heavy Traffic In the Taunton and Wellington Area

There are a number of road works on our Taunton & Wellington bus routes, which is causing a number of delays up to 30+ minutes.

We are doing our best to ensure all route maintain reliability.

Service 6 shuttle bus will operate Saturday 22nd, Sunday 23rd, Monday 24th March between East Kilbride Bus Station and Calderwood and vice versa to maintain connections. This is due to the Network Rail works which will see the closure of Busby Road from 21:00 on Friday 21st March to 07:00 on Tuesday 25th March.

Service 6 will terminate as normal in Calderwood on Thursday 21st March and Tuesday 25th March, although delays are expected and passengers should plan ahead.

Buses are on diversion as below. 

25: Normal route to Red Hill Way (R) Beaumont Leys Lane back normal route. 

26: Normal route to Beaumont leys lane (L) Red Hill Way back to normal route

We regret to announce that the 272 service will not be operating today (20/03).

Customers who usually catch the 272 from Pelynt are advised to catch the 271 service which will divert from Taphouse to Pelynt on both the AM and PM journeys to/from Truro College.

As a result of this diversion, 271 service will operate approximately 20 to 30 minutes late between Taphouse and Truro College on the Am journey and between Taphouse and Callington on the PM journey.

Hemsworth Road closed due to roadworks.

18a Service diverted via Chesterfield Road, Meadowhead roundabout, Bochum Parkway, Norton roundabout & Norton Lane in both directions.

OUTBOUND 20 service diverted via Warminster Road & terminating on Thorpe House Avenue.

INBOUND 20 service commencing on Thorpe House Avenue & diverting via Lees Hall Road, Hollythorpe Rise, Thorpe House Avenue & Warminster Road.

Due to an unsafe building, Kirkgate is closed. 

Services will divert as follows: 

4, 4F, 16, 16A to Pudsey Bus Station via The Calls, Lower Briggate. 

19, 19A, 40 to Ireland Wood/Tinshill/Leeds Rail Station via York Street, St Peters St, Eastgate, Vicar Lane.

06:00 - 22 - Rockwell Green to Taunton

06:35 - 22 - Taunton to Rockwell Green 

07:15 - 22 - Rockwell Green to Taunton

08:15 - 2 - Taunton/Nerrols Farm Circular 

08:45 - 2 - Taunton/Nerrols Farm Circular 

09:17 - 4 - Taunton/Leycroft Road Circular

09:15 - 22A - Tonedale to Taunton

09:45 - 2 - Taunton/Nerrols Farm Circular 

Newquay Bus Station Thursday, 20th March 2025

Due to overnight roadworks in Manor Road, Newquay, we will be unable to serve the stops in Newquay Bus Station between the hours of 19:00 on Thursday 20th March and 07:00 on Friday 21st March.

During this period, buses will stop near the car park in St George’s Road.

All journeys outbound from Newquay Bus Station should follow the route below.

Inbound journeys will be unable to stop in St George’s Road, but will be otherwise unaffected.

Due to an ongoing road traffic incident at Cruachan Road, services are unable to use the route and are diverted.

Services are diverted via Cathkin Bypass and East Kilbridge Road in both directions until further notice.

UPDATE: Services have resumed to a normal line of route.

Head Street, Colchester is closed for overnight roadworks from Monday 24th March to Wednesday 26th March 2025.

The road will be closed from 20:00hrs each evening and is to re-open from 05:00hrs each morning.
