First Bus has been notified by Unite the Union of its intention to take industrial action at our Huddersfield depot from Monday 3 February.
If industrial action is confirmed, customers will be advised immediately of the impact on services and where to get the latest information and updates.

Due to a police road closure at Clydeside Expressway, services are currently diverted:
Diversion from City: Via Argyle Street, James Watt Street, Broomielaw, Anderston Quay, Stobcross Road, Castlebank Street, Hayburn Street, Expressway Westbound back to the normal route.
Due to a police road closure at Crookston Road, services are diverted via the following:
X8 (to Pollok only): Diverting via Brockburn Road missing out Barrhead Rd and Crookston Road.
Diversion after Silverburn via Peat Road Roundabout, Brockburn Road, Linthaugh Road, back to normal route.
We're pleased to confirm the planned industrial action at our Huddersfield depot from Monday 3 February has been postponed to allow a new ballot of drivers and our pay offer which the union is recommending to be accepted.
We will be running a normal service and will update customers further if there are any changes.
From Sunday 2nd February 2025, the price of the Colchester Borough Card will change.

A University of York student is sure that bus driving is better than bar work in providing spending power to support finances during studies.
Pippa Salisbury, 22, is in her third year studying for a degree in Sociology and is the first student to be employed by bus operator as a driver. She reckons joining First Bus in York is the best part-time job move she’s ever made.
“I was surprised I was even eligible to drive a bus,” says Pippa, who has held a driving licence for three years.
Ingate, Beccles will be closed between Ellough Road and Peddars Lane from Tuesday 28th January & Thursday 30th January for gas works to take place.
Service X2/X21/X22 will therefore need to divert via Ellough Road, Southern Relief Road and London Road in both directions and will be subject to delays.

51 Service - Charnock Hall Road closure 30th January
Due to the unplanned closure of Charnock Hall Road, services will divert as follows:
OUTBOUND towards Charnock services are to continue along White Lane, Carter Hall Road, then at the end turning left onto Charnock Dale Road picking up service route at Arnold Ave
INBOUND from terminus continue as normal then at the junction turning right following past the Arnold Ave and the reverse of the OUTBOUND trip.
