Children under 5 travel free

There are no restrictions on the number of children under five who can travel for free with each fare-paying adult, concessionary pass holder or young person.

Children aged 5-15 are able to access discounted tickets on all First Cymru services. Check our tickets page to learn more!

UPDATE - 10:30 Monday 19th February - Please not that the road will be closed tonight and tomorrow night and not just Tuesday 20th as originally stated. Apologies for the short notice but we have only just been notified of this.

The roundabout at the junction of Broom Hill and Frenchay Park Road will be closed overnight to service 48a between 19:00 and 06:00 on Monday 19th and again on Tuesday 20th February (two nights) to facilitate carriageway works.

The top of Christchurch Street will be closed from 08:00 on Monday 26th February until Wednesday 28th February. Service 23 will be diverting via Baker Street in both directions.

There will also be temporary traffic lights on City Road during this time so there will be delays to the service, please allow extra time for your journey.

Kingsland Road, West Mersea will closed for roadworks from Monday 19th February to Wednesday 21st February 2024 (08:00 - 16:00).

Due to the location of the road closure the 86 service will divert, in both directions:

Towards West Mersea - At the end of East Road, right into Upland Road, at the the end left into High Street North, left into Barfield Road and terminate at Tesco store.

Towards Colchester - From Tesco store along Barfield Road and left into Kingsland Road and return to line of route.
