Rectory Road/Wickford Avenue, Basildon is closed for overnight roadworks on Wednesday 5th February 2025.
The road is to be closed from 20:00hrs and is to re-open from 05:00hrs the next morning.
Due to the location of the road closure the B3 and B4 services will be placed on diversion:

To board/alight the 9, 37 and 351 services, close to Brentwood Railway Station, please use the following bus stop(s):

The Dereham Road Bus Gate is now open at Breckland Road - which means our Red Line 23/24/24A services will have changes to their stopping arrangements, effective immediately.
Service 23 will operate onto the bus gate, then immediately turn right onto Breckland Road to serve a new pair of stops called "Jerningham Road".
Redmires Road will be closed for resurfacing works from Wednesday the 5th of February to Monday the 10th of February from 9:30 to 14:30 each day.
Outbound services are diverted via Manchester Road (past Sandygate Road), Coldwell Lane, Sandygate to terminate / commence inbound service at Crosspool shops due to original planned routes being blocked.

This year we will be removing open top buses from our network in Cornwall and instead replacing them with covered double deckers. This means the buses will be able to run in all weathers, as well as continuing to serve the local communities who also use them in Cornwall.
The road has reopened and we are back on normal route.
All services are currently not able to serve Anglia Square or the Edward Street stops, due to an emergency UKPN (UK Power Networks) closure near to Elm Hill as a property has lost power.
Services are diverting via Whitefriars & Palace Street (Law Courts) during this time. We will still be able to serve Upper King Street & Tombland as a result.

Due to a new water main being installed on Peckover Road, the road will be closed between Tuesday 18th February & Thursday 20th February.
Service 10 will only be able to serve Norvic Drive & Rugge Drive during this time. Any passengers from the northern side of Eaton Park are advised to use service 25 to complete their journeys.

Bradford Bulls announces that First Bus has become an official partner help grow grassroots interest in rugby league and support greener goals of the club.
To celebrate the agreement, members of its Bradford Bulls Foundation showed off new kit for the upcoming season which features the First Bus logo, together with mascot Bullboy, club management and the bus operator’s Bradford depot team at Bartercard Odsal Stadium.
The club and First Bus will work together to promote the sustainability ambitions of both organisations throughout the 2025-26 season.
