A Solent from First Bus spokesperson, said:

“In a final attempt to prevent industrial action taking place over the festive period, we met with Unite again on Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 December, and ACAS (Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service) acting as mediation.

“Throughout the negotiation process we have taken on Unite member feedback and made a number of offers in order to try and settle this dispute, to ensure customers are not affected by strike action.

To allow for emergency road works on Tuesday 17th December until works are completed Sauchiehall Street will be closed at Radnor Street towards Partick only.

Roadworks at the Dunball Roundabout (M5) are causing delays and a lane closure. The 21/21A service, which travels along Bristol Road to Burnham-on-Sea, is significantly affected.

Works are expected to continue until November 2025. We apologise for any inconvenience.

A children’s book to help young minds begin to understand about reducing carbon and environmental choices has been published by First Bus in North and West Yorkshire.

Tinyfoot and Evie’s Adventure to Tiny Street features Evie the electric bus and her friend Tinyfoot. And a life-size Evie character visited Beeston Primary School in Leeds to the surprise of youngsters in its Year 1 class, who enjoyed a first reading of the book by local councillor Annie Maloney.
