X2 SERVICE UPDATE.

X2 Service -  6th April until 30th September (on five separate occasions)

Doncaster Road & High Street, Braithwell will be closed on five separate occasions for road works.

Services diverted via Grange Lane, Stainton Lane (through Stainton village), Raw Lane / Hirst Lane / Cockhill Lane & Edlington double roundabouts in both directions.

           Sunday 22nd March to Sunday 29th March 2026

                               (08:00 – 22:00 daily)

Due to the Closure of Water Lane & Silver Street in Stainforth, Services are diverted as follows:

Towards Thorne: Normal route to Field Road, Left onto Princess Ave, Left onto Junction Road, Left onto East Lane then Right at the end of East Lane to resume normal route

Towards Doncaster: Not affected, normal route

Gate House Lane is currently closed for works on the railway crossings. Services are diverting outbound at follows. From Hayfield Lane roundabout we are turning around and coming back down Hayfield Lane. At the traffic lights we are turning right back up Hurst Lane. At the traffic lights we are then turning right onto Mosham Road to resume normal route at the next set of traffic lights. Inbound is the reverse of  the above.

X2 Service - 6th of April until 30th of September

80 Service - 30th of March & 26th of July (0800-2000) any ten days

Cotterhill Lane, Brimington will be closed for road works.

OUTBOUND services diverted left after the petrol station directly onto manor Road.

INBOUND services are unaffected.

Manor Road, Brimington will be closed for road works. (0930-1500 & 1830-2000) any ten days

Services diverted via Duke Street, Staveley (Job Centre), the full length of Inkersall Road / Staveley Road, Chesterfield Road (straight on at the roundabouts) & Calow Hospital in both directions.

We are unable to serve Brimington or Calow village during this closure.

207 Service - 25th of March 2026 (0930-1530)  At all times

Blackburn Meadows has been closed by works.

INBOUND services will divert via Bawtry Road, M1 J34S Roundabout, Sheffield Road, Vulcan Road & Meadowhall Way.

Sheffield Wednesday FC vs Leicester FC – Monday 6th April (1400-1745)

When Leppings Lane closes:

18, 18a, 97 & 98 services TOWARDS Hillsborough Interchange will divert along Penistone Road and  Bradfield Road to Hillsborough Corner.

Services FROM Hillsborough Interchange will operate via Langsett Road,  Bamforth Street then along Penistone Road.

Additionally, Donovan Road also becomes blocked  during these times:

98 service will divert via Southey Green Road & Wordsworth Avenue.

X11 Service - Monday 30th March until Monday 20th April (at all times)

West End Lane, New Rossington will be closed for road works.

Services will divert via Stripe Road, Rossington Roundabout, Sheep Bridge Lane & Iport Avenue, turning around at the roundabout in both directions.
