To allow for Scottish Water works, Bonkle Road is now closed until works are completed.

During the closure, all stops will be observed and the following diversion will be in operation:

Towards Hamilton via the normal route to Allanton, A71, Morningside, to the normal route. 

Towards Shotts via the normal route, Newmains roundabout, Morningside Road, A71, Allanton to the normal route

Significant delays are expected to services 266 and X11, due to associated temporary lights at Bonkle Road/Newmains Cross Roundabout.

Blackburn Meadows Way will be closed in one direction for electrical works.

Service EX1 as of 15:09, Services held due to a Police incident which has closed the A39. Police have told drivers at both sides of the incident that the road is likely to be shut until 17:00.
