Following the full electrification of its commercial bus fleet in York, First Bus has today (Wednesday, August 28) announced that the depot is now verified net zero-emission and amongst the first in the country to achieve this milestone.
The depot has built on the progress of its fully electric commercial bus fleet by investing in the necessary additional carbon reduction requirements to claim net zero status – among the first commercial bus depots in the UK to achieve this milestone.
Service 20 | Emergency Diversion, Funtley Village
Service 20 is now on diversion for the remaining service today due to operational issues on the bus that we use to go over Knowle Bridge.
Services will be diverting via Kiln Road, North Hill, A32, Wickham Road and Knowle road in both directions.
We apologies to all passengers and hope for this service to be back onto normal route from first thing Friday morning.
A children’s book to help young minds begin to understand about reducing carbon and environmental choices has been published by First Bus in North and West Yorkshire.
Tinyfoot and Evie’s Adventure to Tiny Street features Evie the electric bus and her friend Tinyfoot. And a life-size Evie character visited Badger Hill Primary School in York to the surprise of youngsters in its Reception class, who enjoyed a first reading of the book by Cllr Kate Ravilious, the Executive Member for Transport at City of York Council.
First Bus is proud to be partnering with Strut Safe, a volunteer-operated support telephone line offering a friendly voice at the end of the phone for those travelling or walking home alone in the UK.
Service 365 | Malvern Wells, Worcester
The 365 at 15.35 has been delayed due to A449 RTC at Malvern Wells.
Service 304 | Wyndham Street and Barry College
The 304 service will divert between the hours of 09:00 and 13:00 on Sunday 15th of June.
Service will omit stops between Wyndham Street and Barry College and will instead divert via Tynewydd Road and Barry Road in both directions, rejoining the route at Colcot Road.
Services 615, 616, 617, 618, 619, 620 - Delays
Temporary lights at Thornton Road are causing severe delays to services.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Anglia Square has fully reopened and all services have been put back onto normal route.
