Service X1 | Lowestoft | Disruption

Due to Haven Bridge being stuck, our X1 service departing Lowestoft at 15:30 will not run, service should resume at 16:08, Gorleston High Street.

Due to a incident, the service X1 from Great Yarmouth will not run, service will resume at 18:30 from Norwich.

21/08/2025 - An update has been added regarding the operation of the 37 service - Monday to Saturday - from 1st September 2025.

We are making changes to the Essex bus network from Sunday 31st August 2025.

Key details:

Ahead of the start of the new school term, beginning next month, we’ll be introducing a range of service improvements across our region on Sunday 31st August.

Greenstead Road, Colchester is closed for daily roadworks from Wednesday 20th August to Friday 22nd August 2025.

The road will be closed from 08:00hrs each morning and will re-open from 16:00hrs each afternoon.

Due to the location of the road closure, the 87 service will divert in both directions via Harwich Road and Saint Andrew's Avenue (A133).

The following bus stops will not be served in both directions:

Service 81 | Causeway Head Road | Roadworks

Causeway Head Road is closed for emergency road repairs

Services diverted via Brickhouse Lane A625

Blackberry Road, Colchester is closed for overnight roadworks from Monday 18th August 2025 to Monday 1st September 2025.

The road will be closed from 19:00hrs each evening and will re-open from 06:00hrs each morning.

Due to the location of the road closure - the 15 and 52 services will be placed on diversion:

The 15 service will divert in both directions via Winstree Road and Holly Road. The following bus stops will not be served in both directions:

Due to ongoing roadworks on the A657 Upper Town Street services are unable to use this stop as too close to the roadworks.

Charnock Hall Road / Charnock Dale Road is now open and services are back to regular route [13/08/25 - 11:48]

The junction of Charnock Hall Road / Charnock Dale Road is blocked by badly parked cars.

07:30 Penzance - Falmouth is cancelled.

Colchester Road, West Bergholt is closed for roadworks from Saturday 16th August until Sunday 17th August 2025.

Due to the location of the road closure, the 53 service will divert via Mumford Road, Donard Drive and Chapel Road before returning to normal line of route.
