The Basildon & Pitsea Carnival returns on Saturday 26th July 2025. A few roads will be temporarily closed to traffic, on-and-off throughout the day, whilst the event takes place. 

Due to the location of the road closures - the B3, B5, 1A and 25 services will be placed on diversion:

B5

09:30 - 12:30 - The B5 service will divert, in both directions, via Southernhay, Roundacre, Upper Mayne and Cranes Farm Road. The following bus stops will not be served in both directions:

Colchester Road, Manningtree is closed for roadworks from Monday 28th July to Thursday 11th September 2025.

Due to the location of the road closure - the 104/102 services will divert in both directions via Coxs Hill and Station Road.

The following bus stop(s) will not be served in both directions:

Kirkstall Lane, Cardigan Road is now clear.

Due to a road traffic collision on  Kirkstall Lane, the Cardigan Road Traffic Lights, the services are diverting: 

The B4232 West Malvern Rd has been closed by Severn Trent for today & possibly tomorrow, hence the services are diverting:

675 & 676 services will be diverting via The A449 from Rose Bank Gardens to Wyche Cutting.

In both directions 

EX1 ROAD CLOSURE 25th July 2025

On the 25th July, there will be a road closure on the Ex1 route 

This will be a full closure for tree lopping. This work is being carried out by Devon Council.

The part of the road that will be closed on the 25th will be Watersmeet Road to Lynbridge Road, Lynmouth Hill, and this is a full road closure. 

The Ex1 will only go as far as Lynmouth on this day due to not having a safe diversion route for the EX1 service.

Due to the Somerset Council line painting between Ilchester and Somerton, the road is currently closed.

Services 54 and 376 will be diverted via the A372 and B3165 Harding’s Hill into Somerton.
 

A truck is blocking Town Hall Street, Elland, and the services are diverting: 

The service is diverting back to Elland Riorges Link, Briggate, the normal route.

First Bus has teamed up with Hunslet Rugby Foundation (HRF) to support the parents of children participating in junior rugby with an outreach programme to help end unemployment or get back into work after a break from raising a family.

The bus operator is providing workshops at HRF’s premises in the Belle Isle Welcome Centre to develop employability skills and build confidence, including interview technique and  CV writing. The potential to offer work experience placements and apprenticeships at First Bus depots is also planned.

The following RA1 services will not be operating today due to Operation Reason.

•             10:01 departure Heathrow Terminal 5 to Reading

Rothmans Avenue, Chelmsford is closed for roadworks from Monday 28th July to Friday 22nd August 2025.

Due to the location of the road closure - the C7 and C57 services will divert in both directions via High Street, Tabors Hill/Baddow Road, Chelmerton Avenue and Dorset Avenue.
