Crossgates Station Road Closure - Start of Service Sunday 30th March Until November 2025

Park Road/Lexden Road, Colchester is closed from 20:00hrs on Thursday 10th April to 05:00hrs on Friday 11th April 2025.

Lexden Road will be inaccessible.

Due to the location of the road closure the S2, 71, X71, 88, 88A and X20 services will divert in both directions via Balkerne Hill, Westway, Colne Bank and Cymbeline Way.

The following bus stop(s) will not be served in both directions:

Rectory Lane and New Street, Chelmsford are closed for overnight roadworks from Tuesday 8th April to Thursday 17th April 2025.

The road is to be closed from 20:00hrs each evening and is to re-open from 05:00hrs each morning.

Due to the location of the road closure, the C9 service will divert in both directions via Duke Street, Broomfield Road, Parkway and Chelmer Valley Road.

The following bus stop(s) will not be served in both directions:

A section of Berechurch Road, Colchester is closed from Tuesday 1st April to Thursday 3rd April 2025.

The road is to be closed from 09:30hrs each morning and is to re-open from 15:30hrs each afternoon.

Due to the location of the road closure; the 50 service will divert in both directions via Mersea Road, Berechurch Hall Road, Berechurch Road and Daniel Cole Road/Gordon Road.

The following bus stop(s) will not be served in both directions:

Due to resurfacing works Bakers Lane will be closed to traffic off peak and buses will be diverted to use Wells Road, Silver Street, Redfield Road, Steam Mills and the Withies Park resuming Riverside Gardens Roundabout. 

This diversion will be in both directions so please check the front of the bus for direction of travel before boarding.

Due to a road traffic collision on Avenue End Road

38 Services diverting as below:

Towards Glasgow Fort normal route Gartloch Rd, right Avenue End Rd, left Gartloch Rd, left Mossvale Rd normal route.

73, 95 & 207 Services Rescheduled - Monday 28th April until Friday 9th May (at all times)

Brinsworth Lane will be closed between Bonet Lane & Whitehill Road for RMBC road works.

Saturday 29th until Monday 31st March (at all times)

Birley Lane will be closed at the junction of Birley Moor Crescent for tram track works.

OUTBOUND services diverted Birley Moor Crescent, right into Birley Moor Drive, and terminate at a temporary bus stop near the junction with Thornbridge Road.

INBOUND services to commence from Birley Moor Drive then turn right into Thornbridge Road.
