From Sunday 31st August, the m1 metrobus service will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with a new half-hourly overnight service – providing Bristol’s first 24/7 metrobus route and a vital boost to the city’s night-time economy.
In partnership with Bristol City Council and the West of England Combined Authority, First Bus is also introducing an expanded night bus network, earlier journeys on many services, improved university connections and better access to key employment and transport hubs.
Bristol night bus network gets a major upgrade
Among the changes are a clearer cross-town route in Weston-super-Mare that connects key destinations across the town, a new direct link to Bristol from south Weston, and restored Saturday buses for Bleadon Hill.
The changes take effect from Sunday 31st August 2025 as part of a region-wide timetable change delivered in consultation with North Somerset Council and the University of Bristol.

Due to an ambulance blocking Constable Road, Services are unable to serve Constable Road.
Service 48 to Terminate at Norton Water Tower and run inbound on 47 route to Newfield Green.

Nether Mayne, Basildon is closed for overnight roadworks from Monday 28th July to Friday 8th August 2025.
The road will be closed from 20:00hrs each evening and will re-open from 05:00hrs each morning.
The B2 service will be permitted partial access through the road closure to retain punctuality. The B2 and 100 services will also be placed on minor diversions:

Due to Garthdee Road being closed from 04:00 on 28th July until approximately 17:00 15th August.
Services 1, and 2 will be amended as follows:
Customers wishing to go to Asda from Auchinyell and Garthdee should catch Service 1 to Broomhill Road and change onto Service 2, or alight at RGU and walk to Asda.
