There has been an incident at Thickthorn, and police are not allowing traffic from The City onto A47 toward Dereham or toward Hethersett:

Diversions are (all outbound from City – inbound is normal routes)

PR1 – Diverting via Ringroad, Watton Rd, Hethersett Lane, to P+R site.

14,14A, 923 - Diverting via Cringleford Interchange, NNUH, Watton Rd, Hethersett Lane to resume at Hethersett.

3 way temp lights at Listerhills Road causing delays to services 636,637.

Due to operational issues, Service 87 due to leave Gt Horkesley at 07:40, did not run. This service then started from High Street, Colchester, at 0759 toward Brightlingsea.

Hadleigh Road, closed due to a Police incident. The 07:15 from Chelmsford to Southend was unable to serve Hadleigh Road, Rectory Grove, Elm Road, and part of Station Road.

 Due to an operational issue, service 1A wasn't able to carry on from Caister to Martham, at 13:32.

Service should resume at 14:08 in Martham

Apologies for any inconvenience caused. 

Due to the UEA arrivals weekend taking place, the UEA Campus will be extremely busy on Saturday 13th September & Sunday 14th September. As a result, the Bluebell Road entrance will be closed on both days and services 25/26/26A will be on diversion.

Buses to Beaulieu Park Station

We’ve been working closely with Countryside Homes, Essex County Council, and Greater Anglia to extend four of our bus routes to serve the new station, making your connections with the railway as easy and seamless as possible.

Due to traffic delays, service 8 at 13:34 will not run from JPH to Market Gates, service will resume at 14:03

Military Road, Colchester is closed for daily roadworks (10:00hrs to 15:00hrs each day) from 22/09/2025 - 24/09/2025.

Due to the location of the road closure, the 51, 53 and 53A services will divert in both directions via Mersea Road and Roberts Road.

The following bus stops will not be served in both directions:
