Southey Green Road has now reopened and services will resume normal routing.

Southey Green Road has been closed by police due to an ongoing road traffic incident affecting the route. Services are diverting via the following:

To allow for resurfacing works, from Saturday 14th December until Sunday 15th December, Mearns Road at Broom Road will be closed.

During the closure all stops will be observed and the following diversions will be in operation:

Today First Bus announced the launch of their sponsorship at Doncaster Rovers FC.  First Bus have recently teamed up with the football club as the new East Stand sponsors at the teams Eco-Power Stadium.

From the 25th August, Leicester is set to benefit from service changes across the city that will introduce 9000 extra seats, 180 hours of extra service a week, as well as creating 3 more jobs across the city and new links between Braunstone, Fosse Park and Meridian.

In a boost to the Leicester network, First Bus have announced several enhancements across the city including their brand-new service 4E, which for the first time in over a decade will be providing Customers in Rushey Mead with an hourly evening service.

First Bus has announced a number of changes and new services for the Potteries areas which will take effect from the 1st of September.

The changes will see an improvement to the timetable of several services to better improve punctuality and journey experience.

The Service 3A / 4 / 4A will now be replaced by the brand-new service 38 clockwise serving Newcastle, Kidsgrove and Hanley and service 39 will operate the return service (Hanley - Kidsgrove - Newcastle).

Following the electrification of its commercial bus fleet in Leicester, First Bus has announced that the depot is now verified net zero-emission and amongst the first in the country to achieve this milestone.

The depot has built on the progress of its fully electric commercial bus fleet by investing in the necessary additional carbon reduction requirements to claim net zero status – among the first commercial bus depots in the UK to achieve this milestone.

First Bus South Yorkshire has announced network changes for its services across the region starting from 1st September. The changes introduce new services, extra journeys and timetable changes

In a boost to the Sheffield network, First bus announced the launch of there brand new service 47/48 which will operate from Shiregreen, serving Gregg House Rd, Hartley Brook Rd and Sicey Ave - via Firth Park, Firth Park Rd, Firvale, Burngreave, City Centre East Bank Rd, Newfield Green, Hemsworth and Herdings.

At the event, which was held on The Moor in Sheffield last weekend, First Bus revealed its brand-new bus wrapped in a special pink livery – in line with St Luke’s very own branding.

The new bus aims to commemorate this 25-year milestone and cement First’s ongoing commitment to the hospice.
