Our timetables for services Eclipse E1/E2 and Solent 9/9A will be amended from Sunday 6 May 2024. Our Solent F1 service will have a route extension and timetable change from the same date. Please see below to find out what is changing:

There will be a parade this weekend (5th May) to celebrate Leicester City winning the Championship.

This is expected to affect our 88 and 88A service between 11:30 and 14:30.

Services will divert inbound from the Hospital/Walnut Street via Aylestone Rd/Oxford St, Vaughan Way, Burleys Way, Belgrave Circle, Belgrave Gate, Charles Street and into Haymarket Bus Station.

Services will divert outbound from Haymarket Bus Station via Belgrave Gate, Belgrave Circle, Burleys Way, Vaughan way, Oxford Street & Welford Rd.

Wharf Road will be closed for resurfacing Friday 10th May until Sunday 19th May.

Services will divert via Well Street where a temporary stop will be provided.

Seafield Road, Anderson Drive Roundabout/Cromwell Road will be closed each night from 19:00 to 05:00 from 07 – 14 May

Service 11A heading from Queens Road to Craigiebuckler
From Queens Road/Anderson Drive Roundabout:
• onto Queens Road
• left onto Springfield Road
• right onto Craigiebuckler Avenue and resume normal route

Service 11A heading from Craigiebuckler to Queens Road
From Craigiebuckler Avenue:
• left onto Springfield Road
• right onto Queens Road and resume normal route

The entrance to the Worle Bus Hub by McDonalds will be closed to services 6, 7, 9, X1, X5 and A3 between 09:00 and 15:30 on Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8th May (two days) to facilitate carriageway works.

Bus stops A and B will not be served and services will be diverted to enable them to serve bus stops C and D heading in both directions of travel. Please use stops C and D during this period only.

Due to the Big Sing concert being held at Duthie Park between 09:00 and 14:00 on 22 May buses will be required to divert as follows:

Services 17/17A heading to Faulds Gate
From Fonthill Road:
• left onto Whinhill Road
• Great Southern Road
• Holburn Street then follow Service 1 route
• continue down Holburn Street
• Riverside Drive
• King George VI Bridge
• resume normal route

Ensign Bus will be introducing a new open top bus service 99 from Saturday 4th May 2024, running between Southend Pier and Shoeburyness East Beach. The service will run at weekends and every day during the school holidays until September.

This will run alongside the existing Ensign route 68 between Southend seafront and Leigh on Sea, which has run for several seasons.

From Tuesday 7th May 2024 we will be introducing brand new services to our Worcester Network in partnership with Worcestershire County Council.

Service 27 (Worcester – Battenhall) - New Hourly service running Monday to Saturday connecting City Centre with London Road, Camp Hill Road and Battenhall Avenue.

Due to the May Day Parade on 04 May, there will be various road closures at certain times, please read carefully as these may affect you:

Services 1&2 heading to RGU 10:30 – 12:30 approx 
At King Street/West North Street lights, left into East North Street then:
• onto Virginia Street
• Guild Street
• South College Street
• Wellington Place
• Holburn Street and resume normal route.
