In 2023, First Bus supported Colchester Zoo’s 60th anniversary campaign by dedicating one of our double decker bus fleet to the Zoo with a special wrap!
First Bus is keen to continue our support in 2024 and felt that an ideal connection would be with Colchester Zoo’s brand-new Dinosaur Realm experience. Therefore, First Bus has become an official corporate sponsor of the area.
A section of The Street, Steeple will be closed for roadworks from Saturday 6th July to Sunday 7th July 2024.
Due to the location of the road closure, the 332 service will be placed on diversion:
Towards Burnham-on-Crouch
After serving opp The Star bus stop, the 332 service will stop and return back along route and divert via Grange Avenue and Green Lane/Highlands Hill/Foxhall Road before returning to normal line of route. The next bus stop will be o/s Knightswood Court.
Jesmond Drive will be closed from Whitestripes Way to Asda exit road from 09:00 on 15 July until 06:30 on 16 July.

Brunswick Road will be closed from 07:00 22 on July until 18:00 on 24 July.
Services will divert as follows:
Service 17,17A heading from Faulds Gate to City Centre
From Murray Terrace:
• left onto Bright Street
• continue along Bright Street
• right onto Sycamore Place
• left onto Polmuir Road and resume normal route

First Bus East of England Proudly Sponsors Norwich Pride 2024
First Bus East of England is delighted to announce its official sponsorship of Norwich Pride 2024, and that its vibrant Pride Bus will be used as a unique venue during the event on Saturday, 27 July.
On Monday 15th of July, we will be operating a Saturday timetable across our services. Night Bus services will not operate.
- 202 will operate a Monday-Friday timetable.
- 242 will operate a special timetable for Maxim Park.
