Mansfield Road, Aston Springs, has been closed by police at the railway bridge.

Services are diverting via Mansfield Road, A57 (over the M1), Red Lion roundabout & Kiveton Lane (Saxon PH) in both directions.

The Colchester Half Marathon is taking place on Sunday 8th March 2026.

Whilst the event is in progress, traffic management will be enforced to ensure the safety of all event participants:

Colchester High Street will be closed from 09:00 to 10:30hrs. 

Due to the location of the event - multiple services will experience delays - this will disrupt services in South, Mid and North Essex. Please continue to check this page as we will continue to add information in the lead-up to the event.

Neville Street is closed, and the service is diverting:

Due to the traffic light-controlled roadworks at Pulham Mkt being upgraded to a full closure.

We have not been able to serve the villages between Long Stratton and Harleston due to the diversion being via A140 and A143 ( including the Harleston Bypass, as Needham Rd has also been closed).

To allow for cabling works, from Monday 9th March until Saturday morning 14th March (or if works finish earlier), Dumbarton Road at Dunglass roundabout will be closed overnight only:

Temporary Stop Closure, route 9A, Rowner Crossroads, Gosport.
0930 – 1600 Wednesday 4th March.

Due to road works, the above stop will be closed on the date above.
Passengers are advised to use the temporary stop provided by the works contractors.
This closure will affect the stop in both directions.

First Bus has announced that plans are in full swing as it prepares to take over the running of  the X25 and X25A express services between Cumbernauld and Glasgow in less than five weeks.

The operator is busy preparing a fresh set of vehicles to be used on the routes which will be fitted with the latest ticketing technology, installed as part of an overall £20m investment by First Bus across its UK fleet, and charging points for digital connectivity.

First Bus begins the services in place of Stagecoach on Easter Sunday 5 April.

Due to South Cheriton being closed for water works between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for today and tomorrow

Service 58 will not be able to serve South Cheriton, Horsington and Templecombe in both directions for the duration of the closure.
