First Bus is pleased to announce a series of service enhancements for Lowestoft, set to take effect from Sunday 30th March 2025. These enhancements have been made possible through Suffolk County Council’s allocation of HM Government Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) funding, ensuring a more frequent, reliable, and convenient service for passengers.
Key Lowestoft Service Enhancements:

To allow for resurfacing works on Monday 31st March 20:00 until Tuesday 1st April 05:00 Aikenhead Road will be closed between Prospecthill Road and Polmadie Road to City only.
During the closure the following diversions will be in operation:
Rockingham Street is closed for unnannounced water works.
Services 51, 52A, 95, 95a, 95b, 95s, 120 & 120k to operate weekend diversion until further notice.
