Change to the route of service 7

Following local discussions involving the developer, route 7 (Worle Retail Park - Locking Parklands via Weston-super-Mare town centre) will have a change of route at Locking Parklands from Sunday 1st October.

From this date, buses will now operate between the A371 and Nicholson Road via the full length of Bowen Road, in both directions.

The 'Cranwell Road' stops on Cranwell Road will be moved to the other side of the Bowen Road junction and will now be located on Nicholson Road.

Due to the closure along the B3222 between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 from Monday 11th September until Friday 20th October, the following changes will apply to route 25:

 The 09:55 and 12:25 services to Dulverton will terminate at Bampton.

Service 104

Clacton Road (Great Oakley) is closed from Monday 25th  September to Friday 29th September between 0800 and 1800hrs.

Towards Harwich:

From Wix, buses will continue past the War Memorial to the end of the road, onto the A120 and Church Hill to continue back on line of route.

Due to Weymouth Town Bridge being closed for maintenance between Monday 25 September and Thursday 30 November, service 8 will be on the following diversion: 

Service 8 towards Chickerell will divert via Esplanade Road, Kings Street where the service will continue over Swannery Bridge, Westwey Road, and onto Newstead Road where it will continue on the normal route.

Service 8 towards Weymouth Kings Statue will divert via Westham Road, Esplanade Road and terminate at Kings Statue stand K5.

Changes to First Wessex timetables from Sunday 1 October 2023 

The M32 towards Bristol between junctions 1 (Filton) and  2 (Eastville) to Bristol only will be closed overnight to services T1, Y1, Y2, m1, m3, m4 & U3 between 20:00 and 06:00 on Thursday 1st, Friday 2nd and Monday 5th May to facilitate carriageway works.

Please note services except m1, m3 and m4 will not miss out any bus stops.

Between 27th and 29th September there will be roadworks OVERNIGHT only near to the George Public House on Portsdown Hill Road. Service 7 will need to divert away from this area northbound only between 8pm and 2am each night. The diversion will be:- London Road, Ladybridge Road to Stakes Road. The section of route that will be missed is between The George and Crookhorn. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Service X30 & 300

Parkway will be closed between Market roundabout and the Viaduct to install new cables for the railway bridge from Monday 25th September until Friday 13th October between the hours of 20:00hrs to 05:00hrs (Mon to Fri only).
