Layer Road, Colchester will be closed for roadworks from Tuesday 20th February to Friday 23rd February 2024 (19:30 - 05:00).
Due to the location of the road closure the S7 service will divert as follows:
Colchester Osborne St. to Baronswood Way - the S7 service will divert via Goojerat Road, Circular Road West, Circular Road South, Berechurch Road and Earlswood Way before returning to normal line of route on Peerswood Road. Terminating at Baronswood Way bus stop.
Layer Road, Colchester will be closed for roadworks from Tuesday 20th February to Friday 23rd February 2024 (19:30 - 05:00).
Due to the location of the road closure the S6 service will divert, in both directions, via Drury Road, Shrub End Road, Walnut Tree Way and Iceni Way.
The following bus stops will not be served (in both directions):

We're making some changes to our bus network this April to make it more punctual. We are also introducing a raft of new services as a result of winning numerous tenders from local authorities.
April also brings simplified fares and the introduction of Tap On, Tap Off on our entire network too!
The bus stop Chapel Street is temporarily suspended.
To board/disembark the 300 and 9 services - the nearest bus stops will be:
- Hillside Road (for service 9 to Brentwood and for service 300 to Basildon)
- Weir Wynd (for service 300 to Basildon)
The bus stop suspensions will be enforced until the roadworks have been completed.
The roadworks are scheduled to be finish - by end of day Tuesday 20th February 2024.

** THIS CLOSURE HAS NOW FINISHED EARLY, BUS STOPS NOW OPEN**
Both bus stops at Elson Church in Gosport are closed due to emergency road works in this area. Alternative stops are at Ham Lane or School road. As soon as these works are completed the bus stops will re-open. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused during these works. The contractor may change the times or dates which are out of our control.
Braiswick (B1508), Colchester will be closed overnight for roadworks from 19:30 Friday 16th February to 05:00 on Saturday 17th February 2024.
Due to the location of the road closure the S3 will be unable to serve West Bergholt. The S3 service will divert via Tufnell Way, Apprentice Drive, Fan Avenue, Axial Drive and Tufnell Way. The service will pause at Tufnell Way bus stop and then resume journey at scheduled departure time.
The following bus stops will not be served (in both directions):
From Friday 1st March, we'll be introducing Revenue Protection Officers on board our buses in the West of England.
Revenue protection officers will be regularly riding on our bus network to ensure everyone is travelling with a valid/ correctly issued ticket. Any tickets purchased from the driver must be retained throughout the journey, and any tickets on our First Bus App must be valid and ready to show.
When travelling, please have your ticket ready to show - this might be:
Temporary diversion of routes 3, X4 and SD5.
Monday 19th February until Thursday 25th April.
Quay Street and East Street Fareham.
