City Road Bristol will be closed on 21st August between 08:00-18:00 for road works affecting service 25.

Service 25 towards Eastgate will operate normal route as far as Stokes Croft, then instead of turning right into City Road will continue as far as Ashley Road junction and turn right into Ashley Road and continue along to the roundabout to resume normal route.

Service 25 to Ashton will continue along Ashley Road to Stokes Croft and turn Left to resume normal route,

Wharnecliffe Gardens, New Fosseway Road & Walsh Avenue will be closed for road works on Thursday 20th August between 08:00-18:00 affecting service 45.

Service 45 to Hengrove will follow normal route as far as Cadogan Road, then turn left as far as wells Road, turn right and follow Wells Road as far as Tesco Garage then turn Right onto Ridgeway Lane and then 2nd left to resume normal route.

Service to Cherry Gardens will follow the reverse of the above route. 

Bamfield Road Whitchurch will be closed between 08:00-18:00 on 20th August for surfacing affecting services 37 & m1.

Services 37 to Avonmouth & m1 to Hengrove will operate normal service as far as the end of Creswicke Road, then turn Right onto Hengrove Way then follow as far as Hengrove Way roundabout, turn left into Whitchurch Lane onto Hengrove Park.

Service 37 to Melvin Square & m1 to  Cribbs Causeway will operate Whitchurch Lane and Hengrove way operating  normal route at Creswick Road.

Abbots Leigh Road will be closed overnight from 20:00-05:00 18th August until 20th August affecting service X4

X4 from Bristol will operate normal service as far as Winterstoke Road but will contine along the A370 to Gurney Roundabout and Return using the North Bound Slip Road to Ashton Road following the X6 Route to Failand Crossroads then turn right onto Begger Bush Lane and follow to the end and turn left onto Abbots Leigh Road (Part unaffected) to resume normal route to Portishead.

 A370 Slip Road Southbound will be closed overnight 20:00-06:00 from 17th August until 9th October affecting service U2, X6, X9.

U2 From Bristol will divert Via Winterstoke Road Bedminster Down Road and Bridgewater Road to Lyme Kiln Roundabout then continue normal Route.

U2 from Weston Super Mare will operate normal route as far as Lyme Kiln Roundabout, then continue along Bridgewater Road , Bedminster Down Road and Winterstoke Road to Bower Ashton.

Service 40A

Tuesday 18th August 9.30am to 3.30pm 

Due to a road closure in Stoke Holy Cross between the above times

service 40A will divert via Arminghall Lane.

Service 1 Parkway Closure

The Parkway will be closed from 04:00 23rd August to 17:00 11th September 2026. Services will divert as follows:

Due to the closure of Queens Rd we will unable to serve Sheppards Way, Springfields & Cyprus Close between the above dates.

We will be serving Queens Square stop. 

Rowhedge Road, Rowhedge will be closed for roadworks from 24/08/2026 to 05/09/2026.

*This is a timed road closure: the road will be closed nightly between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs*

Due to the location of the road closure - the 53 will be placed on diversion:

Towards Rowhedge

The 53 will divert via Fingringhoe Road and Rectory Road. The bus journey will terminate at the turning circle. Passengers will be able to disembark and board the service at the turning circle.
