First Bus is introducing new connectivity in Leigh-on-Sea for people travelling from the Blenheim Chase and Eastwood Road areas of the town, working in partnership with funding support from Southend Council.

From Sunday 22 February, its 3A service will change route to continue west along Blenheim Chase, into Eastwood Road and on to London Road, connecting at the Elms junction to pick up the existing route to the town centre.

Due to a road closure on Cavell Drive, Portsmouth, the services are diverting.

Services 2,3 From Paulsgrove towards QA Hospital​

The following services are diverting via Ludlow Road, Washbrook Road, Allaway Avenue, Southampton Road, Northern Road, Southwick Hill Road, Nightingale Gale Road, and the QA Hospital Site.​

The B3139 in Old Down by the Old Down Inn is currently closed to service 173 and will remain fully closed until 19:00 on Friday 20th February to facilitate emergency carriageway repair works.

Services will be diverted from the junction of the B3139 via the A37 and A362 to resume normal route at the Paulton Road bus stop on Redfield Road in Midsomer Norton in both directions. 

Glenfield Square is closed, and the service is diverting:

Diverting via Kirby Road, Elm Tree Avenue, Park Drive, Dominion Road.

Golcar Town is closed, and the services are disrupted:

Services 301 & 302 are omitting Golcar Town End and terminating at the bottom of Greenways.

Due to works by Anglian Water, service 13/X13 will divert via Dodds Rd.

No service along New Rd until the start of service on 20th Feb.

The 11:50 journey, from Lakeside to Basildon, is not operating.

This journey will be reinstated and will depart from Grays Bus Station to Basildon at 12:03.

FEBRUARY 2026 DIVERSIONS ->

The previously posted diversion for the affected routes ( 11/A/12/13/21/A/28/29/X29/36/A/37/38/39/PR1) has had to be changed due to the closure of Palace St by a burst water main.

There are 2 separate diversion routes:

Service PR1/11/A/12/13 are diverting via Bank Plain, St Andrews, St Crispins. 

All other services are diverting via Prince of Wales Rd, Riverside Rd, Barrack St, he Charlton Rd/Cowgate temporary stops as an alternative to Anglia Square.
