Parking

Overnight parking is permitted at Yate Park & Ride, however, if parking overnight charges apply.

Yes, parking for multiple days or weekends is permitted but parking charges may apply for this.

You may use the park and ride without using the bus, however if not using the bus, parking charges apply. This also applies to those using Park and Cycle. You may also travel to the car park using other modes of transport and catch one of the available bus services. Yate rail station is only an 8-minute walk away and there is cycle parking available on site.

Yate P&R offers safety and security with CCTV coverage and good lighting. However, whilst all of these provisions are in place, in line with most car parks, parking of any vehicle is entirely at the owner’s risk.

Yate Park & Ride is open 24/7 and as such you will be able to collect your vehicle and exit the park and ride at any time

No, no registration is required. Simply park for free, board the P&R service, purchase a ticket from your driver and enjoy your day! If using Yate P&R without purchasing a P&R ticket, parking charges may apply

Yes, your ticket is valid for the duration stated on the ticket. E.g. 1 day. First day and season tickets can be used on Yate Park & Ride. Day & week multi-operator Rider tickets are also accepted.

Stops & Destinations

​​​​​​​Don’t worry — all our Park & Ride buses are equipped with audio and visual next stop announcements to guide you along the way. The driver will be happy to help if needed, and you can also use the First Bus app to track where you are along the route.

Yes, the Y1/Y2 serve Cabot Circus directly from stops S1/S4 along Bond Street. If using the Y6 please disembark at stop Haymarket B9 and then Cabot Circus will be just a short walk up Bond Street

​​​​​​​The Y1/Y2 does not serve Bristol Temple Meads or Bristol Parkway, this route does serve Bristol Bus Station. The Y6 serves Bristol Parkway directly, stopping at Stop D

Yes, group tickets are only valid if you’re travelling together. This is because you’ll only get one ticket for your group, not a ticket each

Vehicle & Site Restrictions

Yate Park and ride has no heigh restrictions for vehicles wishing to park.

Accessibility

All our buses are fully accessible for wheelchairs and buggies with step-free entrances that can be lowered to kerb height and have fold out ramps - just ask the driver if you need to use it. Inside the bus there are designated spaces for both wheelchairs and buggies as well as priority seating for mobility-impaired passengers

Facilities

Yate P&R has a range of facilities with 198 parking spaces including 38 EV charging bays. Alongside this, the site has ample cycle parking

Pets

Dogs are permitted on Park & Ride buses providing they are quiet, well-behaved and are kept off the seats

Contact the First Bus Lost Property Team using 0345 646 0707 or use our Lost Property form. We will then check to see if it has been handed in. If we have an item matching the description, we will contact you to provide you with a lost property reference and a time and place of where you can collect the item from. Any lost property found on our vehicles, providing the item is not perishable, will be kept for one month.
