Gloucester Road in Bristol will be closed at the junction of Dorian Road near Southmead Hospital, 24 hours a day, from Monday 18 May until Friday 29 May 2026, due to carriageway works. The end of Dorian Road will also be closed.

This is a major road closure so we are expecting disruption to services.

Services 17 and 18 towards Southmead Hospital will divert from Muller Road onto Filton Avenue, then use Toronto Road, Monks Park Avenue and Monks Park Way into Southmead Hospital. They will miss out Filton Avenue (C), Muller Road Top (C), Dorian Road and Dorian Way stops. Please use Downend Road stop, Southmead Hospital stop or stops along the diversion instead.

Services 17 and 18 towards Kingswood will divert from Southmead Hospital via Monks Park Way, Monks Park Avenue, Toronto Road and Filton Avenue onto Muller Road, missing out the Dorian Way, Dorian Road and Muller Road Top (A) stops. Please use Southmead Hospital or Filton Avenue (B) stops or stops along the diversion route.

Service 24 - This service will be diverted between the Stothard Road stops on Bonnington Walk and Southmead Hospital via Bridge Walk, Toronto Road and Monks Park Avenue in both directions. We will be unable to serve Melton Crescent, Blakeney Road, Horfield Health Centre, Wessex Avenue, Dorian Road and Dorian Way bus stops. Please board/alight at any stops on the diversion route, or use alternative services from Filton Avenue.

Service 75 towards Cribbs Causeway will be diverted after the Churchways Avenue stops via Filton Avenue and Toronto Road, resuming normal route from the Filton Road stop at the junction with Monks Park Avenue. Stops at Muller Road Top and Horfield Sports Centre will not be served in this direction. Please use Churchways Avenue or Northville Road stop, or stops along the diversion.

Service 75 towards Hengrove will be diverted after Northville Road stop via Toronto Road and FIlton Avenue, rejoining Gloucester Road at the Churchways Avenue stop. In this direction, the stops missed will be Filton Road, Horfield Sports Centre and Muller Road Top. Please use Northville Road stop, stops along the diversion or Churchways Avenue stop.

Please note that between 20.00-06.00 each day service 75 is also on a separate diversion due to the closure of Northville Road roundabout, and buses will go to/from Toronto Road onto Monks Park Avenue and round onto Southmead Road to/from Filton Roundabout at these times.

Service 76 towards Henbury will be diverted after the Churchways Avenue stops via Filton Avenue and Toronto Road, resuming normal route from the Monks Park Avenue stop on Monks Park Avenue. Stops at Muller Road Top and Horfield Sports Centre will not be served in this direction. Please use Churchways Avenue or Monks Park Avenue stops, or stops along the diversion.

Service 76 towards Hengrove will be diverted after Monks Park Avenue via Toronto Road and FIlton Avenue, rejoining Gloucester Road at the Churchways Avenue stop. In this direction, the stops missed will be Filton Road, Horfield Sports Centre and Muller Road Top. Please use Monks Park Avenue stop, stops along the diversion or Churchways Avenue stop.

Anchor Road, Bristol - Overnight Road Closure - Various services - Starting 18.05.2026

Anchor Road & College Green will be closed overnight (21:00-05:30) from 18th May until 21st May (Four Nights)

This will affect Bristol N/S services U2 X1, X1a, X4, X6, X6a, X9, X14.

Monday 18th May Anchor Road and College Green will be closed in both directions.

After exiting Bus Station services will divert Marlborough Street past the BRI to Park Street top, then continue down Jacobs Wells Road to Hotwells Road. Services towards Bristol will from Hotwells Road use Jacobs Wells Road, Clifton Triangle to St James Barton Roundabout into Bristol Bus Station.

Stops at City Centre, Anchor Road & Gasworks Lane will be missed.

Tuesday 19th until Thursday 21st May Anchor Road Outbound will be open

Services leaving Bristol will operate normal Route. Services towards Bristol will operate Via Jacobs Wells Road, Clifton Triangle To St James Roundabout into Bristol Bus Station.

Manvers Street / Bridge Street, Bath - Road Closures - Various services - starting 26.05.26

Manvers Street and Bridge Street in Bath city centre will be closed from Tuesday 26th May for three weeks. After this, Bridge Street will re-open, but Manvers Street will remain closed until November 2026 for major works to rebuild the road above historic vaults. Services 2, 3, 4, 6/6a/7, 13, 20, D1/D1x, U1, U1N and U3 will be affected.

Due to the long term nature of this closure, we are treating it as a service change rather than ad-hoc diversions. Timetables, app tracking and online Journey Planning data will be updated to reflect the changes.

Buses will divert via the full length of Church Road instead, and serve all bus stops on diversion.
