As part of the operator’s biannual network changes, amends to timetables have been made following a detailed review of how services have been running.

Responding to feedback from local people in Yeovil, Service 51, the Yeovil Town Circular will be split into two separate circular services: Service 51 will cover the East Circular including Asda and Larkhill, while a new Service 61 will serve the West Circular, including Cavalier Way.

At the request of customers, new stops will also be added at Tesco and Hendford Lodge Medical Centre on both the 51 and 61 services.

Changes include:

From Saturday 3rd August:

  • Service 21/21A – Taunton to Burnham-on-Sea: A revised timetable will be introduced to improve reliability with extra journey time to help tackle delays caused by congestion around the Dunball Roundabout.

From Sunday 31st August:

  • Service 25/25A – Taunton to Wiveliscombe Mid-route timing adjustments will be made around Milverton to improve overall timekeeping and service reliability.
  • Service 28/28A – Taunton to Minehead: The Bishop Lydeard West Somerset Railway (WSR) stop will be temporarily withdrawn during the winter timetable to streamline the service and help improve reliability. Passengers can still use the nearby stop at the Lethbridge Arms, a short walk from WSR. Evening 28A services have been re-timed to connect with the GWR mainline trains from London at Taunton Train Station.
  • Service 51 – Yeovil Town Circular: The existing route will be split into two separate circular services: Service 51 will cover the East Circular including Asda and Larkhill. New Service 61 will serve the West Circular, including Cavalier Way.New stops will be added at Tesco and Hendford Lodge Medical Centre.
