Winter Festival – Road closures 01 November 2024 to 10 January 2025
Due to the Winter Festival on Broad Street and Upperkirkgate, there will be various road closures from 18:00 on 01 November 2024 until 18:00 on 10 January 2025.
Service 17,17A,172 heading to Faulds Gate
From Gallowgate turn left onto Littlejohn Street (Bus stop on Littlejohn Street) then:
• right onto West North Street
• right onto Union Street and resume normal service.
Service 17,17A,172 heading to Newhills
From Adelphi continue to King Street then:
• left onto West North Street (stops will be served on West North Street)
• 1st exit at the roundabout onto Gallowgate (stops will be served on Gallowgate)
• right onto Berry Street and resume normal service.
Service 18,18A,18B,18S heading to Redmoss
From Causewayend:
• 2nd exit at the roundabout onto West North Street (stops will be served on West North Street)
• right onto King Street and follow the road around to Adelphi and resume normal service.
Service 18,18A,18B,18S heading to Dyce
From Adelphi continue to King Street then:
• left onto West North Street (stops will be served on West North Street)
• 3rd exit at the roundabout onto Causewayend
Service 11,11A heading Craigiebuckler/Countesswells
From Hutcheon Street:
• 3rd exit onto West North Street (stops will be served on West North Street)
• right onto King Street (bus stop at St Andrews Cathedral)
• continue along onto Union Street and resume normal service.
Service 11,11A heading to Northfield
From Market Street:
• Continue onto King Street (bus stop opposite St Andrews Cathedral)
• left onto West North Street (stops will be served on West North Street)
• 2nd exit at the roundabout onto Hutcheon Street and resume normal service.
Service 19 heading to Culter
From St Andrews Street right onto Loch Street then:
• 3rd exit at the roundabout and back onto Loch Street
• left onto St Andrews Street
• continue onto St Andrews Street
• follow the road around to Blackfriars Street (stops will be served on Blackfriars Street)
• right onto Rosemount Viaduct and resume normal service.
Service 19 heading to Tillydrone
From Rosemount Viaduct (bus stop at HMT):
• left onto Blackfriars Street
• continue onto St Andrews Street
• right onto Loch Street
• 3rd exit at the roundabout back onto Loch Street and resume normal service.
Service 20, 20A heading to Union Terrace
From Gallowgate:
• turn right at the traffic lights onto Berry Street
• 2nd exit at the roundabout onto Loch Street
• left onto St Andrews Street
• follow the road around to Blackfriars Street (stops will be served on Blackfriars Street)
• right onto Rosemount Viaduct and resume normal service.
Rosemount Place closed from 0400 on 27 October until 1700 on 10 November
Due to a temporary road closure, Services 3 and 3A will divert as follows:
Service 3 & 3A heading from Mastrick to City Centre
From Rosemount Place:
• right onto Esslemont Avenue
• left onto Leadside Road
• right on to Rosemount Viaduct
Service 3 & 3A heading to Mastrick from City Centre
From Rosemount Viaduct:
• left onto Leadside Avenue
• right onto Esslemont Avenue
• left onto Rosemount Place
2 temporary bus stops on Leadside Road at:
• Leadside Road, north side, approx. 30m west of Richmond Street.
• Leadside Road, south side, approx. 7m west of Jack’s Brae.
Fireworks Festival closures 04 to 06 November
Due to the fireworks festival, there will be various road closures.
Services will divert as follows:
Service 13 heading to Seaton/Hillhead/Scatterburn Via York Place
23:00 on 04 November until 17:30 on 05 November
From Esplanade via Links Road and resume the normal route
17:30 - 21:00 on 05 November
From Links Road Beach Ballroom Roundabout via Links Road
21:00 until 12:00 on 06 November
From Esplanade via Links Road and resume normal route
Service 13 heading to Seaton/Hillhead
17:30 – 21:00

Due to Remembrance Sunday road closures, services will divert as follows:

From St Andrews Street via Charlotte Street, John Street, Woolmanhill and Skene Street, and Union Terrace.
Service 19 heading to Tillydrone
From Union Street via Bridge Street, Wapping Street, Denburn, John Street, Charlotte Street, St Andrews Street
Service 12 heading to Torry
At Skene Square via Denburn Road, Wapping Street and continue the normal route.
Service 12 heading to Heathryfold
From Bridge Street continue round the one-way system via Denburn Road, Skene Square and continue normal route.
09:30 – 10:30 and 12:30 – 13:00
Service 20 heading to Hillhead
From Mounthooly Way via King Street and resume normal route from Seaton
Service 20 heading to Guild Street
From Seaton via 2nd exit at the roundabout and continue along to the First Bus depot, right and resume normal route

There will be a rolling closure along Deeside Road between Brighton Place and Craigton Crescent.
Hutcheon Street closed 03 – 04 November
Hutcheon Street from George Street to Lidl will be closed from 08:00 on 03 November until 06:00 on 04 November in both directions.
Due to the Winter Festival, services will divert as follows:
Services 11,11A heading to Countesswells
From Hutcheon Street/George Street via George Street, Spring Garden, Gallowgate, West North Street and resume normal Winter Festival route
Service 11,11A heading to Northfield
From West North Street via Gallowgate, Spring Garden, George Street, and onto Hutcheon Street.
Nearest stops are George Street and temporary stops on Spring Garden.
Holburn Street one way heading to City Centre 03 – 04 November and 10 – 11 November 19:00 – 05:00 each night
Holburn Street will be one way heading into town from the Hardgate Roundabout to Willowbank Road between the hours of 19:00 – 05:00 each night.
Services 1,1A,2 heading to Garthdee/Auchinyell Road
From Holburn Junction:
• right onto Great Western Road
• left onto Holburn Road
At the junction:
• Service 1,1A - 2nd exit at the mini roundabout onto Holburn Street and resume normal service
• Service 2 - take 1st exit at the mini roundabout onto Holburn Street then right around the roundabout back onto Holburn Street and resume normal service
Service 18,18A,172 heading to Kincorth
From Holburn Junction:
• right onto Great Western Road
• left onto Holburn Road
• 1st exit at the roundabout onto Holburn Street
• 3rd exit onto Great Southern Road
Buses heading to City Centre are not affected
The nearest stops are on Great Western Road.
Albyn Place One-Way from 3rd Ocotber
Due to an emergency one-way restriction on Albyn Place until further notice.
Service 11,11A heading from Queens Road to Union Street
From Queens Cross via Carden Place, Albert Street, Rubislaw Place, and onto Albyn Place
Service 13 heading from Fountainhall Road to Union Street
From Carden Place via Albert Street, Rubislaw Place and onto Albyn Place
Langdykes Road closed from 30 September until further notice
Langdykes Road will be closed due to roadworks at the junction of Loirston Road from 04:00 on 30 September until further notice.
Services 3,3A,3B will divert as follows:
Service 3,3A heading to Cove
From Langdykes Road:
• right onto Earns Heugh Road, then
• Service 3 will divert left onto Loirston Avenue, then continue straight ahead at the junction and resume normal service
• Service 3A will continue along Earns Heugh and resumes normal service.
Service 3 heading to City Centre
From Earns Heugh Road:
• continue along Earns Heugh
• left onto Langdykes Road
Service 3B heading to Cove
From Minto Road:
• 2nd exit onto Blackness Road
• right onto Souter Head Road
• follow the Service 3A diversion as above
Revised timetables from 15/09 - 1,1a,2,2s,20,20a
On Sunday 15th September, we will operate revised timetables for the upcoming university terms on the following services:

Service 20A will operate late journeys between Hillhead of Seaton and Bridge Street.
Service 20A will be operate from Hillhead of Seaton to Bridge St every 30 minutes between 21:30 up until 23:00 Sunday to Saturday then every 40 Minutes between 23:30 until 03:30 Tuesday to Saturday.
Service 20A will return from Bridge Street opposite Underground nigh Club every 30 minutes between 21:55 and 23:25 Sunday to Saturday then every 40 minutes from 23:50 until 03:10 with last bus at 03:45 Tuesday to Saturday.
