X1/X4/X6/X7/X9 & U2 / Brunel Way / SERVICE DISRUPTION 14th of October 2025 *UPDATED*

A370 Closed at Brunel Way Bristol for services outbound from Bristol to North Somerset. X1/X4/X6/X7/X9 & U2

Services are not serving Anchor Road or Hotwells during this time. 

Services are operating via the city centre, Broad Quay, Prince Street, The Grove, Redcliffe Way, Swing Bridge, Coronation Road, A370 towards Winterstoke Road bus stop.

INBOUND IS NORMAL ROUTE.

There are 4 services currently in Portishead with delays of just 5-10 minutes.

This will impact returns to Bristol.

Portishead TO Bristol is where the delays will arise, which impacts to other North Somerset services.

13:40: Services returning to nomality. Delays on Portishead to Bristol X4 journeys now under 15 minutes and not expecting any further, major impact on other services at this time.

X4 Services Portishead and Bristol are currently running +55 minutes due to a lane closure.

Lots of service curtailments and cancellations.

Knock on effect to other North Somerset services X1 X6 X7 & X9.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused. 

The complete intersection of Airport Road and Hengrove Way will be closed overnight to services 37, 74 and m1 between 20:00 and 07:00 from Monday 20th to Tuesday 28th October (seven nights excluding weekend) to facilitate carriageway works.

Service 37 towards Avonmouth will divert from the bottom of Leinster Avenue and resume normal route at Hengrove Park in both directions.

Regretfully the bus stops between and including Inns Court and Paddock Gardens on Bamfield will not be served and passengers are advised to board or alight at either the Hurston Road bus stop on Leinster Avenue or the Hengrove Park bus stop.

Service 74 heading towards Hengrove depot will operate as normal to the junction of Salcombe Road and Airport Road then divert to Hengrove Depot in both directions.

Regretfully the bus stops Creswicke Road and Filwood Green Business Park heading towards Hengrove will not be served and passengers are advised to board or alight at Bideford Crescent bus sop on Throgmorton Road.

Heading towards Bradley Stoke the bus stops Filwood Green Business Park, Creswicke Road and both Airport Road bus stops will not be served and passengers are advised to board or alight at either the Hengrove Depot bus stop or any bus stops on Throgmorton Road.

Service m1 heading towards Hengrove Park will serve the Novers Lane bus stop as normal then go around the roundabout and divert via Hartcliffe Way and Whitchurch Lane in both directions.

Regretfully the bus stops between and including Inns Court and Paddock Gardens on Bamfield will not be served and passengers are advised to board or alight at either the Novers Lane bus stop or Hengrove Park.

East Street in Bedminster is currently closed will remain fully closed until further notice to facilitate emergency gas main repair works.

As a result of this closure services will be diverted via Dalby Avenue and will regretfully be unable to serve the East Street bus stop. Please use the Bedminster Parade bus stop outside of Asda as the alternative bus stop.
