Sainburys, Portishead - BUS STOP CLOSURES - (X4 & X5) - Wednesday 11th & Sunday 15th March

Various roads in and around Central Bath will be closed between 09:00 and 16:00 on Sunday 15th March in order to facilitate this year's Bath Half Marathon.

Amended timetables will be in operation until approximately 16:00.

Newbridge Park & Ride service 21 will not operate due to road closures, but additional journeys will be provided on Lansdown (31) and Odd Down (41) Park & Rides. Buses will operate every few minutes from 08:00 until 17:00 then every 15 minutes until 18:00.

Service 1 & 5- Bath Bus Station to Southdown(1) Whiteway (5)

Between 09:00 - 16:00 approx Service 5 will be suspended. Service 1 will act as a replacement for Whiteway and Twerton.

Buses will operate from Lyncombe Hill via Wellsway and Upper Oldfield Park then follow the route of service 1 to Sladebrook Road. Turning right onto Mount Road and following the route of service 5 to Twerton High Street.Buses will then turn right onto Shophouse Road up The Hollow, then right into mount Road.

At the end of Mount Road buses will turn right onto Englishcombe Lane then right onto rush Hill.Buses will then follow through Rush Hill past the Sainsburys across at Tesco's to use to Prior Park Road heading back to Lyncombe Hill via Widcombe High Street.

Service 2 + 4 - Bath Bus Station to Odd Down

Between 09:00 and 16:00 approx service 4 will be suspended. Service 2 will act as a replacement service for Bloomfield Road.

Buses will operate from Lyncombe Hill via Wellsway and Bloomfield Road turning right at Noads Corner onto Frome Road.

Buses will then continue past Sainsbury's and ahead at Tesco's petrol station turning left into Fox hill completing the loop around Queens Drive and following the usual route of service 2 to Widcombe High Street, terminating back at Lyncombe hill.

Service 3 + 4 - Bath Bus Station to Weston

Between 09:00 and 16:00 approx service 4 will not operate between Bus Station and Odd Down

Buses will operate normal route between Bathford and the city Centre. Towards Weston buses will operate via Manvers Street and Grand Parade, heading up Lansdown Road and turning right onto Bennet street.

This diversion is in both directions with the hospital being served in both directions so please check the destination of the bus when boarding.

Service 6a - City Centre - Larkhall

Between 09:00 - 16:00 service 6a will depart from the bus stop opposite the Railway Station (the one used by the A4 Air Decker service. The normal timetable will apply.

Service 8 - Bath - Kingsway

Between approximately 09:00 and 16:00 service 8 will operate in one direction only. Buses will operate normal route from Rossitor Road and Kingsway and return via Combe Down and Prior Park.

Service 13 - Fox Hill to Stanbridge

Between approximately 09:00 and 16:00 service 13 will terminate at Bath Bus Station and trips between Bath Bus Station and Foxhill will not operate and service 2 acts as a replacement during these times.

Service 19 - Bath to Bristol Parkway 

Between 09:00 and 16:00 approx, service 19 will divert between the City Centre and Oldfield School.

Buses will operate via Manvers Street and Grand Parade, heading up Lansdown road and turning right into Bennet Street.

Buses will depart the Bus Station 5 minutes earlier than the normal timetable to allow for the diversion.

Service 21 - Newbridge Park and Ride

Suspended for the day.

Service 31 Lansdown Park and Ride

Additional trips will operate from 07:30.

Services - 39, X39 & A4 Bath to Bristol

Between 09:00 and 16:00 approx buses will divert between Bath Bus Station & Corston Lane. Buses to Bristol will use Wellsway, Rush Hill and Pennyquick with buses toward Bath using Rush Hill, Bradford Road, and Prior Park Road.

Service 41 - Odd Down Park and Ride

Additional journeys will operate from 07:30 with the last bus leaving the city centre being 18:00.

Services 174, 522 - Bath Bus Station to Wells / Bristol

Services will terminate and commence from Lyncombe Hill with buses heading past the Red lion and Sainsbury's to use Bradford Road and Prior park Road. All stops on the diversion route will be served.

Service D1 - Bath to Warminster

Between 09:00 - 16:00 approx, Services will divert between Cleveland Bridge and Walcot Street instead of Great Pulteney Street. 

Service D2 -  Bath Bus Station - Frome

Buses will terminate and commence from Lyncombe Hill with a diversion of Cross Key, Bradford Road and Prior Park Road. All stops on diversion route will be served.

Service U1 - University of Bath

Buses will terminate and commence from the Railway Station in Bath city Centre. Between 09:00 and 16:00 buses will also divert via Cleveland walk, North road, Cleveland Bridge and Walcot Street. 

Service U3 - Bath Spa University to University of Bath

Will be suspended for the duration of the race. The first journeys to operate will be 16:06 from University of Bath and 15:55 from Bath Spa University with normal timetables applying after these times.

Service U4 will operate its normal timetable and route.
