Update as at 17:30 on 28th May - these works have been postponed, and are now due to start on 22nd June instead.

A one-way system will be introduced at Harbour Road and Quays Avenue, Portishead, during the construction of the new Portishead Railway Station. Traffic will only be able to flow from the marina to Wyndham Way, and not in the opposite direction. This will affect services X4, X5/X5x and X14.

Works will start on 1st June 2026, and will continue until further notice, into 2027.

Route X4 towards Bristol will not be affected, and will operate normal route.

Route X4 towards Portishead will run normal route as far as Sainsbury's, then divert via Wyndham Way to Portishead High Street (The Precinct stop), missing out the bus stops at Galingale Way, Marina Healthcare Centre, Harbour Road and Parish Wharf. Please use the stops at Sainsbury's or The Precinct instead.

Route X5 towards Portishead Sainsbury's will not be affected, and will operate normal route.

Routes X5 and X5x towards Weston-super-Mare will start from Sainsbury's as normal, then divert via Wyndham Way to Portishead High Street (The Precinct stop), missing out the bus stops at Galingale Way, Marina Healthcare Centre, Harbour Road and Parish Wharf. Please use the stops at Sainsbury's or The Precinct instead.

Route X14 towards Weston-super-Mare will, after serving the The Vale stop, additionally serve the Serbert Way and Sainsbury's stop in the Sainsbury's car park, then divert via Wyndham Way to Portishead High Street (The Precinct stop), missing out the bus stops at Galingale Way, Marina Healthcare Centre, Harbour Road and Parish Wharf. Please use the stops at Sainsbury's or The Precinct instead.

Route A2 already loops round clockwise, so will continue to operate its normal route.

Manvers Street / Bridge Street, Bath - Road Closures - Various services - starting 26.05.26

Manvers Street and Bridge Street in Bath city centre will be closed from Tuesday 26th May for three weeks. After this, Bridge Street will re-open, but Manvers Street will remain closed until November 2026 for major works to rebuild the road above historic vaults. Services 2, 3, 4, 6/6a/7, 13, 20, D1/D1x, U1, U1N and U3 will be affected.

Due to the long term nature of this closure, we are treating it as a service change rather than ad-hoc diversions. Timetables, app tracking and online Journey Planning data will be updated to reflect the changes.

Revised timetables are now available - please check the Forthcoming tab on the timetables section of the website. The timetables are headed as starting from 31st May, but will apply from 26th May (this is due to the mid-week start of the roadworks - apologies for any confusion).

1	Cribbs Causeway - Bristol City Centre - Broomhill	-Victoria Street in Bristol City Centre is closed northbound, buses are diverting via Temple Way and Counterslip until further notice. -Whiteladies Road is closed northbound between Queen's Road and St Paul's Road. No bus stops are missed however delays are anticipated as buses follow diversion route. Estimated completion 29 May 2026.	Allison Road, Broomhill will be closed between 0930-1930 on Monday 1 June. Buses will divert via School Road, Bath Road and Wick Road and be unable to serve the Sherwell Road and Wick Crescent bus stops. Please use the stops at Gurnsey Avenue/Broomhill Road or Winchester Road instead.
1	Bath City Centre - Southdown	Normal service.
1	Weston-super-Mare - Sand Bay	Normal service.	Beach Road, Sand Bay at Weston-super-Mare will be closed from Wednesday 3rd June to Friday 5th June 2026, from 08.00 until 17.00 each day. Buses will be unable to serve Sand Bay at all during the closure. Kewstoke will be the nearest buses are able to get to Sand Bay. We will not be able to serve stops between and including Lower Norton Lane and Sand Bay, Sand Road terminus. Please use the stops at Crookes Lane or the stop on Lower Norton Lane.
