The High Street in Staple Hill between Soundwell Road and Downend Road will be closed overnight to services 17, 49 and 49x between 20:00 and 06:00 on Monday 2nd March (one night) to facilitate carriageway works.

Services 17, 49 and 49x from the traffic lights st the junction of Soundwell Road by the Portcullis Pub will be diverted via Victoria Street, North Street and Downend Road to resume normal routes at Fishponds Straits in both directions.

Regretfully the bus stop Portcullis B, Pendennis Road, Thicket Road and Maywood Road will not be served in either direction and passengers are advised to board or alight at Portcullis D on Soundwell Road for service 17 or Victoria Street bus stop on diversion route (to Centre) or Portcullis B (to Emersons Green) for services 49 & 49x.or the Cross hands bus stops on Fishponds Road. All bus stops on Downend Road will also be observed in both directions.

All other stops on Church Road will be observed.

DATE EXTENSION - Crookes Lane (part), Sand Bay - (1 & 1s ) - Monday 2nd to Thursday 5th March

UPDATE - 14:15 Thursday 26th February

Crookes Lane (part) in Sand Bay will now be closed to services 1 and 1s from 08:00 on Monday 2nd and will remain fully closed until 17:00 on Thursday 5th March to facilitate carriageway works.

Service 1 (Weston-super-Mare - Sand Bay) will terminate and commence their journey from the end of Lower Norton Lane alongside the park then on departure turn left onto Crookes Lane to resume normal route.

Service 1s will divert along Lower Norton Lane in both directions.

Regretfully the bus stops between and including Sand Road (terminus) and Lower Norton Lane on Crookes Lane will not be served and passengers are advised to board or alight at the end of Lower Norton Lane alongside the park.

Please note the services 1 will commence from the park at the same time as its normal departure time from the original terminus.
