Glastonbury Beltane Festival, Various road closures - 373, 374, 375, 376, 376x - 01,05.2026

Various roads in Glastonbury will be closed to services, 373, 374, 375, 376 & 376a  01.05.2026  one day for the Beltane Festival.

 Services  will be diverted via the A39 and  Avalon Trading Estate to resume normal routes at B&Q on the Wells Road.

All bus stops between and including Drill Hall on Street Road and Avalon Estate bus stops on Wells Road will not be served and passengers are advised to board or alight at the Wirral Park Roundabout bus stop or Morrisons.

Constitution Hill Dulcote will be closed Daily between 27.04.2026 & 29.04.2026 3 days for Utility works.

Service 174 will not turn into Durston Road but will stay on Bishops Parkway to Strawberry Way roundabout.

Fountain Cottages, Highfield, The Bishop’s Palace, The Liberty, Market Place & Chamberlain Street stops will be missed.

Passengers are advised to board or alight at Well Bus Station.

Rode Hill will be closed due to essential works Between 07:00 and 19:00 from 20.04.2026 until 24.04.2026 inclusive to facilitate essential works.

Service D1 will from Wolverton continue along the A36 to Beckington.

The Red Lion (Rode Hill), The Leaze, Memorial Hall, Rode Baptist Church, Orneage Close & Church Lane will be missed.

Unfortunately there will be no stops between Woolverton and Beckington.

Passengers are advised to board or alight at The Red Lion (A36) or Birchwood Beckington

Claverham Road in Claverham will be closed to service X11 between 08:00 and 17:00 From 21.04.2026 until 24.04.2026  to facilitate carriageway works.

Service X11 heading towards Weston instead of turning left into Claverham Road will carry along the High Street onto Frost Hill and Smallway and turn right onto the A370 to resume normal route. 

Service X11 heading towards Clevedon will operate the reverse of the above.

The bus stops between and including Stowey Park on Claverham and Tesco on the A370 will not be served.

Passengers are advised to use either the Westaways Close bus stop on the High Street or Congresbury Bridge bus stop on the A370.

All other bus stops on the diversion route will also be observed.

*Now expected to open on 31st May - Road Works extended*

UPDATE 16:46 Thursday 26th February. 

The full lengthof Daventry Road in Knowle is currently closed to services 16 and 36 and will remain fully closed until 18:00 on Sunday 31st May to facilitate carriageway works.

All services will be diverted from Melvin Square via Ilminster Avenue and Salcombe Road to resume normal route at Broad Walk Square in both directions.

Regretfully the St Barnabas Close bus stops for services 16 and 36 will not be served in either direction and passengers are advised to board or alight at either Melvin Square or Broad Walk Square. The bus stop on Broad Walk Square roundabout will be observed towards Melvin Square.
