East Street, Banwell - Road Closure - 126 & U2 - starting 27.07.26

East Street, Banwell will be closed from Monday 27th July until Friday 28th August, for works on the new by-pass. This will affect services 126 and U2.

Service 126 towards Wells will operate normal route to The Orchard bus stop in Banwell, and will then divert along Castle Hill (A371) to Winscombe where it will resume normal route.

The following stops will be unable to be served:- Dark Lane (Banwell) through to Woodborough Drive (Winscombe) inclusive.

Please use either The Orchard (Banwell) or The Chestnuts (Winscombe) stops instead. We'll also serve the stops along the diversion.

Service 126 towards Weston-super-Mare will operate normal route to The Chestnuts bus stop in Winscombe where they will then turn onto Castle Hill (A371). They will follow this to Banwell, and then resume normal route. 

The following stops will be unable to be served:- Woodborough Drive (Winscombe) through to Dark Lane (Banwell) inclusive.

Please use either The Orchard (Banwell) or The Chestnuts (Winscombe) stop instead. We'll also serve the stops along the diversion.

Please note - due to the low bridge at Winscombe, this service will have to operate with single deckers over the summer holidays, and will therefore have less available capacity.

Route 125 will still be serving Sandford as normal.

Service U2 towards Bristol will operate normal route to Beaufighter Road bus stop at Haywood Village, and then divert along Somerset Avenue, the A370 Bristol Road to Congresbury, and then turn onto Stock Lane to Langford University Campus, and resume normal route.

The following stops will be unable to be served:- Helicopter Museum to The Churchill Inn inclusive.

Please use either Beaufighter Road or Langford University stops instead.

Service U2 towards Weston-super-Mare will operate normal route to Langford University Campus, and then divert via Stock Lane to Congresbury. There, they will follow Bristol Road (A370) to Weston, then go onto Somerset Avenue to resume normal route at the Beaufighter Road bus stop at Haywood Village.

The following stops will be unable to be served:- St Mary's Gardens (after Langford Campus) & The Churchill Inn, through to Helicopter Museum to inclusive.

Please use either Beaufighter Road or Langford University stops instead.

Sandford or Banwell will not be able to be served by service U2, due to the low bridge at Winscombe. 

Route 125 will be operating as normal, serving Banwell, Sandford and all of Langford. Route 126 will serve most of Banwell as normal (see above).
